On the road to the YEDA Nationals in Lexington, Va. This was our first year in this fabulous organization with only 6 young ladies. Our intent was to "just get our feet wet and try it out." Plans changed when these ladies dove in headfirst, gave it everything they had and ALL got qualified for the Nationals. They have put so much focus into the small details and are prepared to showcase their hard work. We are so proud of each one of you and cannot wait to see you shine. Get it get it ladies!!!
Look for our line up post tomorrow!!!

What an exciting week here! Today was the first open show of the season, and while we only sent 2 of our young riders, Harper Richards and Kinley Eason came home Champion and Reserve Champion of their division. Great job ladies, you make us proud both at shows and at home. To watch these little young ladies buzzing around the barn, washing their horses, cleaning their tack and packing the trailer, you cant help but be proud of the horseman that they are becoming. Reach for the stars girls, you deserve them all!!!

While that was happening, things at the farm sure did not slow down. Our QH clients are diligently practicing for their next outing and the barn has been full of our YEDA riders who are headed to the NATIONALS this upcoming week. While this was our introductory year and we had just planned to get our feet wet, these 6 girls dove in headfirst. ALL SIX GOT QUALIFIED FOR THE NATIONALS........look out for these ladies, they have done their time and we are so excited for them to head to Lexington this week. MORE POSTS TO COME ON THIS TALENTED GROUP!!!!

We are so thankful for Peppy 💚

🎉 Congratulations to the IHSA Hall of Fame Class of 2026 inductee Colonel Pepenator from the State University of New York-Oswego!

🏆 "Peppy has won national championships in all three western divisions: reining, ranch riding and horsemanship. He’s done everything at Nationals from beginner walk-trot up to the reining," said Dan Bergstresser, who trains the SUNY Oswego IHSA team.

"Though he is a stallion, you’d never know it as he’s a mellow guy," said Jill Bergstresser, co-coach of the SUNY Oswego IHSA team. "He was actually the first stud that they allowed to go lower than open, and within a year or two, he made his way all the way down to beginner because he was that level of trustworthy."

➡️ Trainers Jennifer and Tom Hoyt helped owner Catherine Berdan Pettite donate the Quarter Horse stallion to SUNY Oswego and he quickly became a barn favorite. While he showed plenty of pizzazz in the show pen with his IHSA riders, he’s just as happy carrying around a young child in a summer camp lesson.
