ISMA/MSS Rookie of the Year rules
A driver qualifies as a rookie if:
* They qualified for three or fewer ISMA/MSS feature races in every previous season.
* In the current season, they qualify for more than three features—meaning at least four feature races.
The Rookie of the Year award goes to the eligible rookie who finishes highest in the season’s ISMA/MSS driver points.
* Entering an event does not necessarily count; the rule refers to qualifying for the feature.
* A driver can have raced with ISMA previously and still be a rookie, provided they never qualified for more than three features in any one prior season.
* Once a driver qualifies for four or more features in a season, that should exhaust their future rookie eligibility.
* A driver who qualifies for only one, two, or three features this season cannot win Rookie of the Year, even if the standings display a rookie symbol.
* The award is decided by points among the eligible rookies, not simply by which newcomer has the most starts or best single finish.
