This past Saturday night we raced at Madera Speedway in the Pro Late Models and the Jr. Late Models.

We had a practice day on Friday. Everytime we went out, we were consistently hitting our marks and hitting good lap times. We weren't losing speed along runs we made either!

On Saturday, we went out for practice, and were pretty much where we left off. We qualified second in the Jr. Late model with my fastest ever time in the Jr Setup of a 15.198. We qualified 4th for the Pro and hit a 15.139.

We drew a 3 for the Jr card draw and a 5 for the Pro card draw.

The Jr race was mostly smooth through the first 40. We were running right behind the leader running around the same lap times. We decided to move to the top with about 10 laps to go tell the break to get the top line cleaned off and make sure the car was good there. At the break, we didn't change much on the car. Off of the restart, we had a tire going down. We limped around as much as we could. Went back to fourth. The two cars that had just passed me wrecked, and drew a caution flag. We pit, and changed the tire. We restarted 6th on the restart. Made an aggressive move to get up to 4th. Off of turn two off the green, another car came across my nose, making all my hood pins come off and the hood flew up and over the windshield. I went as much as I could with a hood covering the windshield. Luckily, another caution came out with 10 to go. We took the hood off and restarted 6th. Quickly made it to the inside and picked off positions and made it to 2nd with three laps to go. We picked the outside for the restart. We worked the outside for a lap and a half and got the lead. We finished first in the Jr. late Model!!

In the Pro race, things were off to a good start. I was making my ways forward. But, unfortunately, I ended up spinning out, locked up the brakes but unfortunately got hit which ended our night. these past few days we have been tearing the car apart and looking it over in the shop.

But, we can't sit on the wreck from the Pro race, as we have bigger things to focus on coming up in the next few days! My team has been working hard in the shop to get the ARCA Menards Series west Car ready for a shakedown this week before the race.

WYATT FLOWERS ACHIEVES COME FROM BEHIND VICTORY IN JR. LATE MODELS AT MADERA

MADERA, CALIFORNIA (September 19, 2026) – Palmer, Alaska’s Wyatt Flowers stormed to an exciting first-career 51FIFTY Jr. Late Model Series victory on Saturday night at Madera Speedway, driving around series points leader Lane Christensen to claim the 70-lap feature. Flowers, age 15, overcame several incidents throughout the challenging contest in the come from behind triumph. Photo by Christian Rozell

“We had so much going on. We had such a good car in the first 40. We had a right front tire go down. Luckily got a caution and changed that. Then right after that, somebody got into us and it knocked the hood up. I ran like, I don’t know, 20 laps with the hood in my face. We got another caution to fix the hood and take it off,” Flowers said. “Man it’s so good to be talking to you (with the win). I just knew the only chance I probably had was running it on the high side. We did it completely clean so thank you to Lane for racing me so good. Just worked the high side probably the hardest I’ve ever done.”

Points leader Christensen drew the outside pole after leading time trials, with fellow Georgia native Dylan Bongiovanni drawing the top starting position. Bongiovanni led the first three laps before Christensen used the bottom to drive into the lead on lap four.

Bongiovanni drifted back to fifth by lap seven. Washington’s Mason Blodgett made a lap 39 pass to take fifth from Bongiovanni as well. The non-stop opening 40-lap segment saw Christensen lead Flowers, Connor Penix of Clovis, round six winner Jarrett Dickson, and Blodgett into the halfway break.

Blodgett and Bongiovanni collided in turn four when racing resumed but Bongiovanni was able to rejoin the race without the race requiring a caution. Dickson used the high line to drive into third. Flowers, Penix, and Dickson jostled for the second position. Dickson and Penix then came together in turn four, sending both cars to a stop in turn four for a caution flag. Flowers escaped to the pits with a flat tire.

Flowers then was involved in a restart incident which sent his hood up into his windshield. He stayed on the race track and soldiered forward. A caution on lap 60 allowed Flowers to pit and remove the hood.

Christensen led a resurgent Bongiovanni on the restart while Blodgett tried to hold serve in third. Blodgett was shuffled back on the high side to fifth. Blodgett and Penix then came together in turn two, causing race ending damage for Blodgett on lap 67. The caution set up a three-lap shootout between Christensen and Flowers. Flowers drove around the outside of Christensen to grab the victory, with Dickson returning to the front of the pack by driving around Christensen as well. Christensen settled for third followed by Bongiovanni and Texas’ Dylan Reese.

Matt Erickson of La Grange earned his second win of the season in the Mission Pro Late Model Series. Points leader Jason Aguirre used a back up engine and drew the pole. Aguirre then led the first five laps of action. ARCA Menards Series, West rookie Gavin Ray of Las Vegas, the second fastest qualifier, took the lead on lap six. A red flag flew on lap eight when Wyatt Flowers spun in turn two and collected Auburn’s Colton Nelson. Both drivers were uninjured.

Erickson ran down Ray over the course of the 40-lap opening segment. Erickson then slid past Ray to take the lead on the 40th lap and in time for the Mission Foods break for adjustments and RACER Network interviews.

Erickson dominated the final 30-lap segment while Ray held off challenges from Dylan Bongiovanni and 2026 Roseville champion Kenna Mitchell of Loomis. Aguirre finished fifth.

Bakersfield’s Kade Godbehere benefited from a wild lap 27 INEX Legends restart to earn his first Madera Speedway victory. Godbehere muscled past Bakersfield’s Colton Page on the restart to drive into the top spot. Turlock’s Antonio Gonzales recovered from an earlier spin to finish second and preserve the points lead with Jared Torres finishing third.

This last weekend at Alaska Raceway Park was an amazing weekend of racing! We started out fast out of the gate in practice. We ran 17.0s-17.1s pretty much all of practice consistently.

We qualified 1st at a 17.043.

Started first in the heat, battled for a couple laps for the lead and got ahead. Won the heat race.

Had a great start to the feature. Got up to about a 5.5 second lead before a caution came out. Restarted with about 10 to go restarted on the inside, took the lead and took the win!

We were the only car In the late model class to podium in every single race we did! We qualified 1st 4 out of the six times we qualified. We won every heat race we were apart of.

We finished 3rd in points just 3 points off 2nd and 30 points off first. After missing those two races we did, I certainly did not think we would finish this well in points!

There was some really good competition this year and I cannot wait for next year!

Now, we turn our sights to Madera Speedway for the next two weeks In the Jr. Late Model, the Pro Late Model, and The Arca car!

What a crazy good weekend! From making my biggest racing announcement yet, To finishing very well In both the Jr. and the Pro!

We started the week on Thursday by heading to the Nascimento Motorsports race shop to get fitted for the ARCA Car!

Unloaded the car on Friday Madera Speedway and was fast! Got up to speed quickly and ran some of my fastest laps consistently!

We started Saturday off by getting down to a 15.194 in practice for the pro.

Qualified 5th for a 15.30 in the Jr. and then ran a 15.118 to qualify third for the Pro!

Drew a 3 starting spot for the Jr, and a 6 for the Pro.

The Jr. race started chaotic. Had to miss a couple spins but still kept my nose pretty clean. After catching up to the leaders at around lap 30, a caution came out. Finished 4th at the halfway.

After the break, I made it up to third, was just starting to follow the two infront of me and pull away when the two cars infront of me wrecked. I had the slightest bit of nose contact with them. Held on to lead one lap before a caution for fluids from the backstretch to turn 4.

Restarted the Jr race, made a bit of a mistake and followed the 8 to finish second! Great job to Jarret on the win!

Started the pro race in 5th after a car infront of me elected to start in the rear.

Worked my way up to third by lap 10. A caution had just came out. Worked the top side and made it to second. By the end of lap 40, I had closed the gap to the leader the half a car length!

Restarted after the break in second. By lap 47 I made it to the lead.

A caution then came out. After that, me and the 12 had a great side-by-side battle. The 12 won the battle, we still showed we had really good pace against some really good competition.

I am looking forward to the next one!

Next weekend we finish our season Alaska Raceway Park. We are a close 3rd in points even with missing 2 races. Come check it out!
