I dipped my phone into one and caught this incredible view. A single northern snakehead brood can produce tens of thousands of eggs, though only a small fraction will survive to adulthood.

While exploring the salt marshes around Virginia Beach, I came across this large school of fish cruising in and around the reeds.

While we've been seeing plenty of fry balls lately, we recently came across this pair performing their spawning dance—right in the middle of fry ball season.
Nature is full of surprises, and it's a reminder that not every pair on the water has finished spawning.
