The handle matters.

At Wayward Trading Post, we’re always searching for the best figured wood we can find — grain with movement, character, and a pattern that makes every landing net feel one of a kind.

No two handles are exactly alike, and that’s the point. We seek out the pieces with the most personality, then build them into nets meant to be used, admired, and carried for years.

WAYWARD SKETCHED TROUT GIVEAWAY

We’re giving away an engraved wood piece from the Wayward Sketched Trout Series, featuring artwork by Christine Lewis. We dont currently sell this art piece and this will be the only way to get one at this time.

These are wood prints made from hand drawn illestrations. These are the same taht fo on our landing nets if you are familliar.

The 1/16 blong wood cuts are a biproduct of our net meaking process and they tend to stack up here at the wood shop. We love them as shims, art pieces, and any number of things. We thought this was a cool idea.
