Day 4 & 5 of our HMSE Camp!

Day 4 was an exciting opportunity for our campers as ACCO hosted a job site tour at ASM. Campers were outfitted with proper PPE and got a firsthand look at the real work happening in the field. They also wrapped up their projects and continued making great progress with their BIM designs.

On Friday, we celebrated graduation and toured the facilities at Superior Duct Fabrication. Milwaukee Tools brought a demonstration table full of industry tools to educate the campers on usages. Families joined us for lunch and had the chance to celebrate the campers’ accomplishments throughout the week.

A huge shoutout to all of our volunteers, industry partners, and supporters who helped make this week such a success. Your time, dedication, and commitment to inspiring the next generation of skilled trades professionals made a lasting impact on our campers!

🔨 HMSE Camp – Days 2 & 3 🔥

Our campers got right to work as they began their hands-on projects and continued building valuable skills for the future. Over the past two days, participants received training with VR welding, scissor lift operation and fire safety, giving them important exposure to workplace safety practices used throughout the industry.

We were also fortunate to have representatives from Local 359 and our JATC Coordinator speak with the students about the many rewarding career paths available within the trades. Their insight and encouragement helped our campers see the opportunities that exist in this industry.

A huge thank you to all of our volunteers who continue to dedicate their time, knowledge, and energy to make this camp a success. Your commitment is making a lasting impact on the next generation of skilled professionals!

What a great first day at our second hosted HMSE Camp! We had 12 students join us today as they explored exciting career opportunities in the industry.

Students learned about Local 359, the JATC Apprenticeship Program, and were introduced to the world of CAD/BIM work and the technology that helps bring construction projects to life. It was a fantastic opportunity for them to see firsthand the pathways available through skilled trades and apprenticeship programs.

We’re excited to inspire the next generation of professionals and are looking forward to an amazing rest of the week with this outstanding group of students!
