A2 Firearms Training

Still have a few spots open for my women’s only enhanced class this Saturday. If you are a lady or know one who would be more comfortable in a women’s only class this this is it. Might be some time before I offer another women’s only class. Message me for details.

Bragging moment. Issued a Gen 6 G***k with the Aimpoint COA Optic for duty use a couple weeks ago. I can’t recommend this pistol enough. Whether you’re a G***k person or not—the Gen 6 is a different animal! Personal purchase pending!! If you have questions just ask!

The Twin Falls active shooter incident hits very close to home. I imagine a lot of people who carry concealed are wondering or thinking what they might have done had they been there. Engage the suspect or protect who you’re with. Here’s one thought before that: have you mentally prepared to pull the trigger on another human being in an act of self defense? If you haven’t, you may hesitate. And that may lead to another fatality by the shooter. In addition to going over laws, self defense, and other legal considerations, I break down what to expect from your body in a high stress incident—like an active shooter incident. A major first step is mental preparedness. Make an investment in your and your loved ones safety with some training, regardless of your shooting skill. It may save your life.

Looking at scheduling a women’s only enhanced concealed weapons class in the next few weeks. If you know a lady who would be more comfortable in a women’s only class, send her my way. Have 2-3 now and looking for another 2-3 to make it a go.

Spent the last 2 days in a pistol/rifle red dot course. Took away a lot of good training I look forward to passing along!

Spent the last 2 weeks in training to become a use of force instructor. Fantastic mix of classroom learning, scenario training, and then clearly articulating the legal justification for a use of force afterwards. Fantastic instructors that created a dynamic learning environment that’s allowed me enhance the training I provide going forward!

Combat training. Spent 10 hours at the range last week drilling combat drills, particularly malfunction drills, combat reloads, a one shot competition, and combat course. Whether I’m training civilians or my officers, I love helping shooters hone and refine their skill set. Next enhanced class (sold out) is this weekend. Another class coming late July if you’re looking for your next enhanced permit.

It was a beautiful day for this enhanced concealed carry class today. I had a great time with this group for their private class. If you have a group of people that want to get their permits or other fi****ms training, contact me to discuss a private class just for your group. ****mstraining

Spent a solid day out at the range last week running our guys through rifle and pistol qualifications. Always good to work on the basics, buts it’s even better to be training. When’s the last time you got out to train? If it’s been too long, let’s go do some shooting!
