Kickboxing is my therapy.
Meet Allie Richardson! She came down to Florida from Long Island for the summer, and her new go-to spot to train, decompress, and reset is right here on the mats at The Camp MATC in Pompano Beach.
For Allie, 45 minutes on the bag isn't just about getting a sweat in—it’s about letting everything out, losing yourself in the workout, and leaving feeling empowered and energized. Add in a supportive community that pumps each other up, and it’s an environment you can’t help but want to come back to.
Whether you're local to Broward County or down in South Florida for the season, our doors are open to help you release stress, build strength, and join a real tribe.
No egos. Just pure focus and continuous growth.

Meet Sue. Whenever she comes down to Florida from Connecticut, her very first stop isn't the beach—its the mats here at The Camp MATC
She is the first to tell you that she doesn't fit the typical "fitness model" stereotype. She’s older,, and managing bad knees. But Sue doesn't let any of that hold her back. When a movement doesn't work for her, we modify it. When she gets tired, we adjust, but we keep her going.
The one thing we don't do? Let her hide behind a bag or give up on herself.
Sue leaves every single class feeling stronger, more capable, and completely empowered. As she says: "You are never too old to get started."
If Sue can step onto the mats and put in the work, what’s stopping you? No judgment, no egos, no contract traps—just real people building real strength.

SCHEDULE UPDATE: Modified Hours This Weekend
Quick reminder, fam! We have a few schedule changes this weekend:
Friday, July 17th: Morning classes are ON. Evening classes (5:00 PM and 7:00 PM) are CLOSED.
Saturday, July 18th: CLOSED.
Monday, July 20th: Reopening for our regular schedule!
Why the change?
, our head coach, is heading to Orlando for the 28th Annual
This tournament has been a pivotal part of my martial arts journey from almost the very beginning. Over the years, I’ve stepped onto these mats to compete in Kung Fu, Sanda, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. It’s a stage that helped refine not just my technique, but my mentality—teaching me to focus, achieve goals, remain humble in victory, and stay grateful in defeat.
Now, as a head judge, it is an honor to help the next generation of martial artists experience those same life-changing moments. And as a school owner, I’m already looking forward to bringing our own students from The Camp to compete here next year! 🏆🥋
Thank you all for your support and understanding, and enjoy your weekend, and we'll see you on the mats this Monday!

𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝗶𝘀𝗲.
Today, we had the absolute honor of hosting a local church’s young men’s mentor group for a Muay Thai session here at The Camp MATC.
Growing up in today's world isn't easy for young men. Between the non-stop buzz of fast technology, the pressure of social capital, and a never-ending 24/7 news cycle, it’s incredibly easy for them to feel overwhelmed or lose sight of who they want to be. They are constantly looking for a place to turn to find solid ground.
That is exactly why martial arts is more critical now than ever.
On these mats, there are no shortcuts, no algorithms, and no screens. It’s just hard work, sweat, and respect. Training in Muay Thai forces you to look inward, face challenges head-on, and build a deep, unbreakable resilience. It teaches these young men the value of consistency, discipline, and standing tall when things get tough. 🥊🔥
One of our core missions here at The Camp is to develop these foundations right here in Pompano Beach. We don’t just train people to be great martial artists; we train them to be strong, accountable, and productive leaders in our community.
Thank you to this incredible mentor group for trusting us with your training today. The future is bright for these young men!

Find Your Tribe.
One of the best things about the community at The Camp MATC is the incredible diversity on our mats. From every walk of life and background, we all meet right here in Pompano Beach for one reason: to get better.
Tonight is No Gi night! We drop the uniform and focus purely on control, pressure, and leverage. Our community welcomes everyone—whether you are an absolute beginner looking for life skills or an advanced black belt pushing your limits.
Come train with a team that pushes you to transcend your limits (Train. Grow. Transcend.).

Real confidence is built on real skills.
This week at our summer camp, we focused heavily on equipping these young women with vital, practical self-defense techniques—specifically takedowns and rear naked chokes.
To ensure the mechanics really clicked, I brought in an incredible female instructor to help break down exactly how these techniques work for young women. It is never about brute strength; it is entirely about leverage, technique, and knowing you have the ability to defend yourself if you ever need to.
Watching them problem-solve, support each other, and take their power back on the mats is exactly why we do this.
Tag a parent who needs to see this kind of empowerment in action!

Lets be honest, independence is never just won once—it is maintained through daily consistency, discipline, and the determination to protect what you have built.
On the floor, we train this lesson every single day. A new technique, a higher rank, your own personal confidence isn't something you achieve and put away on a shelf. You have to show up for yourself, leave your ego at the door, and put in the work to keep it sharp. Freedom and capability require continuous effort.
Today, we celebrate the freedom to build our armor and the discipline required to maintain it.
Reminder: We are running our REGULAR class schedule today! Come earn your BBQ, build your armor, and celebrate your independence with the tribe.
Happy 4th of July from The Camp MATC!

It is completely normal to be intimidated by martial arts.
When this member first walked through our doors, she was just looking for a kickboxing class. Like a lot of people, she was nervous about taking that first step onto the mats.
But that’s exactly why we built this community. Through hands-on coaching, a positive environment, and zero ego, that fear quickly disappeared. Kickboxing was just the gateway. Now? She’s fully diving into both Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and she is absolutely crushing it.
You don't have to be fearless to start. You just have to be willing to learn. We will handle the rest.

Full-circle moments hit different.
Last Saturday, I had the incredible opportunity to bring my own students from The Camp MATC to cross-train at in Plantation. This is the studio where I got my start as a student and eventually a manager. It’s where my foundation was built.
Bringing the new energy of The Camp back to these mats—and watching my students put in the work—was a surreal experience. My motto of "Empowerment Over Ego," and seeing our crew embody that alongside my original martial arts family is exactly what this journey is all about.
Grateful for the roots, and incredibly proud of the branches we are growing. ✊🏾
Shout out to and , the team has grown to the most professional Martial Arts instructors in Broward!
