We’re bringing something new to StarrFit and Port Washington!

StarrFit is excited to collaborate with The Grappling Collective in Port Washington to bring new classes to our space, hosted by The Grappling Collective.

We’re really excited to get this started in September and can’t wait to share more details about what’s coming!

Stay tuned!

Had the chance to do a little interview with Balance— but you can only see it at the Balance Gala, so you better sign up.

Thank you to Balance for thinking of me and asking me to be a part of this. It was a lot of fun, and I’m really grateful for everything they do for our community.

Hope to see you at the Gala!

Special Olympics Wisconsin Unified Teams came to the Wisconsin Tri Series in Verona, WI and did incredible.

I’m so proud of our Ozaukee athletes and how well they did. Not only did the athletes have an amazing time, but the amount of support during the triathlon was something I honestly can’t even put into words.

I’ve never experienced so many people cheering on our athletes during the swim, bike, and run. It wasn’t just people on the sidelines either — it was other athletes competing alongside us, encouraging our team, cheering them on, and supporting them the entire way.

So many people came up to our guides and said, “Thank you for what you’re doing,” and it happened so many times that it honestly made me emotional.

This was such an incredible experience, and I can officially say that we are all hooked on triathlon. We’re going to keep training, come back even stronger next year, and I can’t wait to see what these athletes can do.

Thank you to Special Olympics Ozaukee County for helping us rent a van and get hotel rooms close to the triathlon. I’m so happy to be a part of this amazing organization. Thank you coaches (Coach Eliza, Coach Brian, Coach Jenne) for supporting these athletes at the gym and getting them ready for this event. Thank you to the guides that were there race day to help these athletes. We couldn't do this without all this help. Hopefully next year we have even more athletes and coaches!

So proud of this team!

They’ve put in the work with swimming, biking, running and learning how to put it all together on race day. I’m super proud of this group and can’t wait to see them compete.

Make sure to cheer them on this weekend!

Looking to get some shoulder help this Wednesday? Be sure to stop by the gym at 5:30p.m to see what Evolv Physical Therapy & Performance can help you with!

Shoulder Mobility Workshop at StarrFit

If you’ve ever had tight shoulders, pain with overhead movements, or you feel like pressing, pull-ups, cleans, snatches, or overhead squats just don’t feel right, this workshop is for you.

Your shoulders do a lot in the gym, and if they aren’t moving well, it can start to affect your workouts pretty quickly. The good news is, a lot of shoulder limitations can be improved with the right drills and a better understanding of what’s actually going on.

We’re excited to have Dr. Matt Paluchniak and Dr. Rachel Ludwig from Evolv Physical Therapy & Performance at StarrFit for a free hands-on shoulder mobility workshop.

They’ll go over:

What might be limiting your shoulder mobility
Common restrictions that can affect pressing and overhead movements
Simple drills you can use to move better and feel better
Ways to keep training hard without always feeling beat up
Any questions you have about shoulder pain, mobility, or movement

This is great for anyone dealing with nagging shoulder pain, struggling to get into good overhead positions, or just wanting to stay healthy and keep working out long term.

I swear we do more than just rowing...

Great start to June at StarrFit!

We’ve had a good amount of new people join us, kicked off our 6 Week Upper Body Strength Program, and already had some awesome PRs.

The weather has been decent, so we’ve been getting outside for some running, the windows are open, and the music is loud.

Summer is a great time to try something new. Come check us out with a 14 day free trial:
