If ya haven’t guessed it yet, it’s Fender Season™️ here in the PNW (Paa-cific Nort-w’est), and this XO-1 is a nice example of getting a new glow up. Fenders do a lot of thankless work for us when we ride: they keep the rider (and their friends) drier, they keep our drivetrain cleaner, and they can look really good and add some pop to boot!

The Brooks England Utmost B17 saddle has arrived. At long last, we were able to secure a limited amount of this super special saddle.
Designed to last a lifetime + with a thick vegetable tanned leather top and some classy stainless hardware, this saddle stands as incredible example of quality materials and classic design.
The B17 is our most-favoritest saddle ever, so it’s fitting to see it get this incredible glow-up for the ages.

We here are all excited to see Dylan’s Custom Wilde Bicycle Co. Earth Ship take flight today from the shoppe. This one is real special, built just for Dylan. Yes, that paint-job is inspired by Frank Herbert’s Dune. The Sand of Arrakis. Fear is the mind killer, doncha know? Anywho, this project was a long time coming. Thankfully D is a chiller and was patient while we waited for some of the bits due to their weirding ways. Happy New Bike Day™️ Dylan!!

It’s New Bike Day for Brooks! We’ve been chatting about this one for a minute, a complete Rivendell Bicycle Works 🥶 Clem Smith Jr. for crawling through the desert of New Mexico and beyond! With some time to prepare, Brooks went ahead and sold a bunch of punk/hardcore records to help make this thing happen. Hit up Landfill Rescue Unit , they may have some remnants of his collection still in the store.
We are so pumped to get this wet beach ball puncher out there on a Clem, say hi if ya see him out there in Forest Park today!

The Rivendell Bicycle Works 🥶 Clem Smith Jr. is an excellent bicycle for riding on trails.

Seems kind of like a real basic statement there, but I guess that’s the point.

Strip away the motor, the pivots, the patented link technology, the suspension fork and shock (that haven’t seen their hourly service intervals and are probably already outdated), beep boop shifting, beep boop office chair seatpost, the weird body armor, and whatever else is sold to you, and you just have a bicycle. A simple machine. A simple machine that you can use to go ride places, take your dog with you even.

Sure, you aren’t doing road gaps on this thing, but last time I checked, Evel Knievel was dead in the dirt. Humans weren’t meant to fly, history has kinda proved this. Cue the blooper reel.

After riding the Clem around as a daily commuter for 7 years, I decided to mix it up and put this bike into a more trail specific direction. I pulled off the fenders, the big roll-cage front rack, and threw on some wider Tosco bars and some plump 2.4s (the Vittoria Mezcal tire is one of our favorites).

A whole new bike was unlocked by just moving a few parts around! It’s kind of sweet knowing that a whole other bike was just waiting under the surface like that.

I’ll say it, this bike rips. It brings joy and confidence on rough and bumpy singletrack, a pleasure on duff and winding ribbons of dirt too.

We have a few Clems en route to us, most are spoken for, but we’ll have 55.5cm here for you to poke at later this week.

New bar alert!!!!

We recently hit up our bud Leker Leks Bike Stuff to bend some steel bars that hit our personal sweet spot for sweep, rise, and width.
-
We wanted something perfect for riding around town and heading off to have a nice picnic somewhere. Leks nailed it, as per usual.
-
The end result being The Golden Pliers Special: 710 width, 35mm rise, and 50 degrees of back sweep. 22.2mm clamp, cuz they are made of steel. We have em in 2 finishes, silver and blued.

Come check them out and play pretend, they may be the bar you have been looking for this whole time.

Big News! Didja know that we are now a dealer for Sklar Bikes? Sklar had been making custom steel and ti frames for over a decade and now they offer the beauty and ride quality of their bikes to everyone, and these bikes are soooo good.

We are starting off by carrying their PBJ (performance basket jammer) and SuperSomething framesets, but they also offer an MTB frameset (The Tall Tale) AND the SuperSomething in Titanium. We can get those for you too, no prob.

The PBJ is your capable touring machine that can also be your everyday shredder around town and in the woods. Heck, you can even throw a suspension fork on it if that’s your thing. It can do the work, go let it play.

The SuperSomething is the pan-ultimate gravel bike or whatever you wanna call those things. You can suit up like a Mighty Morphin Power Ranger and blast over to Dixie Mountain or stuff some big ole 2.1 tires in there and explore your favorite fire roads. It’s a versatile frameset (you can gets it with a steel or carbon fork) that can be unlocked for all different kinds of riding, We love this one a bunch.

We also have a handful of their Lightweight Racks, which are incredible for throwing on some compact panniers or using their ingenious cargo loops to strap on some dry bags or extra water bottles. It even packs up flat for travel, genius s**t.

Us being handlebar freaks, we also nabbed a few of their PBJ bars, which have an awesome amount of sweep and rise for all day riding, also it’s insane how light these bars are. It’s like they are hollow and made of aluminum or something, wild.

Anywho, that’s the scoop. We got a few colors and sizes of the framesets hanging up, so stop by if you wanna check em out and talk bikes, ok? Ok!

Heyo, just a heads up that we’ll be closed tomorrow aka Saturday aka 9/5/26.
We are gonna do the extendo long weekend thing and get to doing some things we’ve been wanting to do over the course of this busy Summer.
We also want to thank you all for a busy Summer, we feel appreciated and loved!

Ayo! We got a winner here for the Hello, bike shop. x Kyoot Bikes! mini scavenger hunt. Give it up for bongjoonhos_gf for hittin the all the spots here in the city, congrats! And thanks to everyone for participating in the hunt, the whole goal here was to get everyone out on bikes and explore all the lovely and whimsical stuff here in the city.

Big ups to Kyoot Bikes! for donating the prizes and actually kicking it at the bike shop for a good portion of the afternoon.

It means a lot when our vendors can take time out from MADE and spend some time at the shops that carry their stuff here in town, we are here doing the WORK. Thanks ya’ll!

Well, while the whole tariff thing is pile of you-know-what, we got this here complete Bassi from Montréal Hogs Back here at the shoppe. Built up with the stuff we like (it’s even got our bars from SimWorks) stuff that’ll last you a long time and not send you on a wild goose chase to replace parts (when they eventually wear out).
This one is a size Large, so come take it for a spin if you think it’ll fit ya. Thanks!
