The senior football players took the opportunity to recognize a Proctor teacher that has made a difference in their life and education at Proctor. An on field ceremony introducing the senior player and their teacher was held. 💚 🚂 👩🏻‍🏫 🧑🏼‍🏫

Good morning. Our football family is incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support for our player. Here is an update from Dakota's family.

From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU!

We want to thank everyone who has reached out with prayers, kind words, love, and support for our son, Dakota Peterson, #38 of the Proctor Rails football team.

A special thank you to the Proctor football coaches, athletic trainers, EMS, first responders, Aspirus St. Luke's, and the entire Proctor community for your incredibly quick response and care during such a terrifying moment. We truly cannot thank you enough. Without each and every one of you, we don't know what the outcome could have been.

As parents, there is no greater fear than watching something happen to your child and not knowing what comes next. It is a feeling we never want to experience again.

We are so thankful to say that Dakota is HOME and doing okay! ❤️ While he has a road to recovery ahead of him, we know just how much worse things could have been.

God was listening, prayers were answered, and we are beyond grateful! 🙏❤️

Dakota wants everyone to know that he is okay and appreciates all the love and support. If he had it his way, he'd be right back out on that football field with his teammates!

To our football family and the entire Proctor community, thank you for surrounding our family with so much love during one of the scariest moments of our lives. We will never forget it.
