🏁🔥 ROWDY’S RACE WEEKEND — A PODIUM AND A NEW CHALLENGE! 🔥🏁

It was a busy double-duty weekend at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl for Jacob “Rowdy” Burns and the crew!

🔴 SATURDAY — LATE MODEL

The JML Excavation / Quality Construction & Roofing No. 30 Late Model, prepared by Dave Lessard, showed plenty of speed right out of the trailer! Rowdy recorded the fastest lap of the field in both practice and his heat race. 💨

Starting P6 in the feature, Rowdy raced his way through the field and climbed into third. When the only caution of the race came out, he restarted third and battled his way up to second. The car became tight during the closing laps, but Rowdy fought hard and brought it home with a strong P3 podium finish! 🥉🏁
A huge thank-you to Dave Lessard for all his hard work preparing and setting up another fast race car!

🔵 SUNDAY — LEGEND CAR

On Sunday, Rowdy brought out a new No. 1 Jase DiBuono owned Legend Car that he had just picked up on Thursday, knowing there would be some bugs to work through.

Starting P8 in the feature, Rowdy steadily worked his way forward and climbed into fourth place. Unfortunately, with only a few laps remaining, his bumper became hooked with another car, dropping him back to a P10 finish.

It wasn’t the finish we wanted, but this first race gave us valuable information. We now have time to go through the car, work out the issues and find the additional speed we know is there! 🔧💪

All in all, it was a solid weekend for Rowdy and the crew—a fast Late Model, another podium finish and plenty learned with the new Legend Car!
