Today, we pause to remember the heroes who gave their lives for our freedom, and to the heroes still fighting today. Their courage and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

As we pause this Memorial Day to remember and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country, we invite the community to attend Ripley’s Memorial Day program this morning at the Ripley Sportsplex. 🇺🇸

The program will begin at 10:00 a.m. and will include the unveiling of a historical marker by the Daughters of the American Revolution, a program by the American Legion, and refreshments following the event.

We encourage everyone to take a moment to reflect, remember, and honor those who served. ❤️🤍💙

Something special is taking shape across from The Cut-Off!

We’ve been working behind the scenes on a project that means a lot to us — Brown & Covington. It’s named after Mrs. Brown’s Corner Store (a place so many people in Ripley remember) and Tommy Covington, our town historian and longtime librarian who left the building to Ripley Main Street. That alone makes it pretty special.

We’re turning it into a creative space where local artisans can work together and where people of all abilities can learn pottery side by side—with plans to keep growing into other creative things as we go.

We’ve already started our first pottery collection and can’t wait to be fully in the space later this year.

(And yes… we’re planning to serve soft serve ice cream in handmade bowls 🍦 — so there’s that too.)

Huge thank you to the Mississippi Main Street Association and the Mississippi Hills National Heritage Area for supporting this project in part through their grant programs. It’s helping us move this vision forward.
And a big thank you to the ladies at the Compton Center for working with us on this project — they’ve been such a huge help.

As always, the gym is open 24 hours for our members.
