Mindset Monday — Growth Over Perfection
Some days you feel sharp.
Some days the ball just won’t stay in the court.
And that’s okay—because perfection was never the goal.
Growth is messy. It’s frustrating. It’s nonlinear.
But it’s also where the real magic happens.
Every shanked pass teaches you something.
Every tough practice reveals a new level in you.
Every rep—good or bad—moves you forward if you let it.
Volleyball will never be perfect. You will never be perfect.
But you can always choose to get a little better than yesterday.
That choice is what separates players who plateau from players who rise.
Give yourself grace. Stay patient with your journey.
Celebrate the small wins. Learn from the hard moments.
And trust that little by little, it all adds up.
Aim for progress, not perfection.
Because athletes who grow—win.
Great first day of tryouts ladies! 7th grade tryouts will be tomorrow from 3-5 pm.
All girls are to return to the school around 7:30 pm tomorrow to receive their letters. There is a boys basketball game, and the letters will be handed out at the conclusion of the game!
Tomorrow is the first day of tryouts!
8th grade is 3:30-5:30 pm
6th grade is 5:30-7:30 pm
7th grade tryouts are Tuesday 3-5 pm.
If anyone happened to see a black North Face jacket from tonight’s open gym, could you please let me know or reach out to Jocelyn as it was her jacket. Thank you!
Update!
Tomorrow’s open gym at 5:30-7:30 will be 6th and 7th graders. We will be adding an open gym Saturday morning from 9-11 am that will be 8th grade only.
