Arthur Murray Roanoke

We interviewed our student Logan about his experience with our studio. He’s has been dancing with us since June 2025. Here is what he had to say:

How has your Arthur Murray
Experience been so far?

“It’s really magical is a way I would put it. Like a home away from home is the way I describe it to people. The doors it has opened for me in just the one year now and some change that i have been doing it has been life changing”

What’s your favorite thing about dancing?

“It’s a really good icebreaker. It breaks down a lot of barriers that people have initially because its a very intimate thing, the time of dancing we do at Arthur Murray but its also very fun and enjoyable and it helps you make connections with people. It bridges that gap of physical connection really quickly so if you are already dancing with someone on the floor it should be really easy to have a conversation with you.”

Has there been any really special moments so far?

“There have been but they haven’t always been tied to the dancing. Sometime its been the interactions I have had with other students and instructors and things like that. How personable all of you are, its a big bonus. Coming in here it’s a lot of fun. I can show up and be my wild and crazy self at times and know its going to be chill. Special moments as far as the dancing goes, I mean any of the showcase moments. All the work and effort you put in for months building up to a showcase. Its months of work for what sometimes amounts to a minute out on the floor but its really spectacular and its something I wish more people were willing to put the money towards doing and just get out there and try it. You know, just have the courage to give it a shot and see what happens.”
