Join us as we follow the story of The Secrets of the Prima Ballerina, written by our very own Miss Heather!
Dancers will journey through a magical forest as they discover what makes up a ballerina — from the special shoes they wear, to their beautiful costumes, to the ballet steps and movements that bring the story to life.
This camp is designed to feel like our “big kid” dance intensives, but created especially for younger dancers. Each day includes a ballet class, variation-style lesson, creative movement, and fun activities that help dancers build confidence, coordination, and ballet skills.
Campers will also learn ballet etiquette in a fun, age-appropriate, and engaging way, while still enjoying all the magic and imagination Little Leapers is known for.
At the end of the week, families will be invited to watch their dancer perform in their very own Prima Ballerina show!
If your child loves ballet, tutus, storytelling, and dancing through a little bit of magic, this camp is the perfect fit.

Our Level 2 classes are perfect for dancers who are ready to keep building their technique, confidence, and performance skills this summer. These classes are a great fit for dancers who have completed a beginner level class or are ready for more structure, new styles, and continued skill-building.
Whether your dancer loves ballet, tap, hip hop, lyrical, jazz, contemporary, acro, or musical theater, summer is a wonderful time to stay moving, try something new, and continue growing in the studio.
Summer classes are a great way to build confidence, strengthen technique, and feel ready for the fall season.

Summer at The Little Leapers is calling our littlest dancers!
We’ve got classes for every age and stage, from first steps to first pliés - all in a warm, encouraging space built for little ones. Summer enrollment is open at both our Blacksburg and Roanoke studios:
🩰 My Little Shadow (18 months–2.5 years)
Our parent-assisted ballet class and the perfect first experience in the studio. Little dancers learn fun stretches, basic ballet steps, and beginning tumbling while building balance, coordination, and social skills like taking turns and making new friends. Every class wraps up with a treasured fairy tale, dress-up tutus, and a “story dance” they act out with their teacher.

🩰 Fairy Tale Ballet (ages 2.5–4)
Where storybooks come to life! Each class steps into a new fairy tale with first ballet steps, creative movement, and a dress-up “story dance.” A magical next step for growing dancers.

Where ballet really blossoms, with proper technique, barre work, and graceful across-the-floor combinations that build confidence and focus.
