Join us this Friday at 12 PM for a shakeout run + coffee social directly after hosted by our friends Silicon Valley TriClub. Whether you’re racing, cheering, volunteering, or just in town for the weekend: everyone’s invited! 🙌

Welcome Sandstone IRONMAN 70.3 Santa Cruz Athletes,

I am thrilled to welcome you to the stunning shores of Santa Cruz County
for this year’s IRONMAN 70.3 event! Nestled along California’s breathtaking
Central Coast, our course offers a spectacular backdrop of rugged coastline,
sweeping ocean views, and the vibrant energy unique to our community.
As a Santa Cruz County resident and triathlete in I am so excited to be your
race director and welcome you all to my home community and courses.

This year, our courses remain mostly unchanged with our iconic swim
around the Wharf, spectacular ride along scenic Highway 1 and the
unmatched beauty of the rural California central coast, and the coastal
run along West Cliff and the Wilder Ranch bluffs. This year there are some
major improvements to the trail system out in Wilder where we will be
using a small portion of the NEW Coastal Rail Trail. I highly recommend
on your training weekends leading up to the race or for a great spin or run
you check out the new trail. Its amazing!! Every course mile promises a
memorable experience for the athletes and the Santa Cruz County region
has endless adventures for your family to come while you train, race and
adventure!

Whether you’re a first-time participant or a seasoned veteran, we
encourage you to soak in the coastal beauty and community spirit that
make this event special. If you have the time and have never been to Santa
Cruz please take some time to get up into the Redwoods at Henry Cowell
State Park, or Big Basin State Park, the trees and beauty are amazing.
