Look, I know there’s a lot of BS and conflicting information out there and I also know nothing has been pushed harder in the past two years than protein.
The market has adapted and is now putting protein in everything and slapping a label on it. That doesn’t mean it’s a good protein source!
Take the protein grams, x by 4, that’s the calories that are coming from protein. If most of the calories are coming from protein that it’s a great protein source.
If not, then it’s either a fat source or carb source or both.
Sidenote, all these products with allulose and artificial sweeteners and inflated fiber aren’t the best for your gut health.
As an online coach for women in menopause, I know we struggle with bloating. If you’re relying on a lot of these products to hit your protein goals, this may be a culprit!
I’m not saying to never have these products. I always take a protein bar with me when I’m traveling, but having these every day to hit protein goals?
You’re always going to be better off with whole food sources like chicken, turkey, beef, dairy, and eggs.
If you’re overwhelmed with all the BS out there and don’t even know what to eat anymore, I have an upcoming 45 min. live training next Monday 8/3 at 7pm EST.
Macros for Fat Loss in Menopause. I’ll show you what macros are plus what foods to eat to hit your targets easily.
Donna has lost 28 lbs and Denise 34 lbs since April 1st using this exact macro strategy.
