Hayley Fong Announces Commitment to Pepperdine University
Bay Area junior golf standout Haley Fong 🌹 has announced her verbal commitment to play Division I golf at Pepperdine University.
The Hayward native and Class of 2028 golfer continues to make a name for herself on the junior golf scene. This summer, Fong captured the Discover Austin Minnesota Junior Championship, finishing 10-under par with rounds of 71, 68 and 67 to earn her second straight title at the event.
Fong shared her excitement and gratitude after announcing her commitment, thanking Pepperdine coaches Laurie Gibbs and Kayla Murashige for believing in her and giving her the opportunity to become part of the Waves family.
She also thanked God, her family, friends, coaches, sponsors and Athlos College Coaching for supporting her throughout her journey.
A huge congratulations to Hayley on taking the next step toward playing Division I golf! The Monarch family is proud of you!
