Day II of the 2026 NorCal Youth Championships:
Big Up S/O to West Coast Striders athlete and Technology High School student athlete Rayan Dziri for having a career day in Santa Clara this past weekend. Rayan only competed on Sunday due to the schedule of events but he took full advantage of his opportunities. Ryan competed in the triple jump event where he found himself jumping a life time best mark. Good enough to earn 🥈— He will bring home some hardware including a 🥇in the high jump event in which he also was able to provide a lifetime best mark. Ladies and gentlemen Rayan D. is your 2026 NorCal youth Championship Triple Jump Silver Medalist & your 2026 NorCal Youth Championship High Jump Champion. Congratulations Rayan!

Day II of the NorCal Youth Championships:
Huge S/O to West Coast Striders athlete and Rincon Valley Middle School graduate Brynn Gebhart for having a fantastic two days of competition this past weekend in Santa Clara. Brynn put in work on both days. On day I speed was the focus as she ripped a 800m earlier that morning dominating her heat as the heat winner. Later that afternoon B came back to rip a 400m. On day II Brynn attacked the 1500m. This young lady has no fear. Her performance in the 1500m was good enough for a 🥉and she will bring home some hardware. Brynn Gebhart is your 2026 NorCal Youth Championship 1500m Bronze Medalist. Congratulations Brynn!

Day II of the 2026 NorCal Youth Championships:
Big S/O to West Coast Striders athlete and Montgomery High School student athlete Sydney Finister. Syd the kid had 2 awesome days of competition this past weekend in Santa Clara. On day I Sydney competed well in the open 100m dash to come back on day II to compete in the open 200m dash. In both sprints Syd gave maximum effort and did awesome. Sydney came back later on day II to compete in the triple jump event which is her main focus. She ended her day with a PR performance in triple jump. Good enough for a 🥉and will bring home some hardware. Sydney Finister is your 2026 NorCal Youth Championship Triple Jump Bronze Medalist. Congratulations Syd!!

Day I of the 2026 NorCal Youth Championships:
The West Coast Striders Track Club traveled to Santa Clara High School this weekend to test our fitness as we prep for the National Junior Olympics that is taking place later this summer. All the Strider athletes that competed today put in maximum effort as some athletes ran off events while others competed in the events they do best. Overall an awesome day and a wonderful experience as we continue to progress. We are looking forward to day II tomorrow.

GIGANTIC S/O to West Coast Striders athlete and Sonoma Academy High School student athlete Josie Hill for having an absolutely fantastic day at the 2026 Hoka Festival of Miles. Josie in PR fashion is your 2026 Hoka 800m Champion 🥇— Well done Josie and congratulations!!

Huge S/O to Rancho Cotate multi sport student athlete John Groom for having an outstanding 2026 track season so far this spring. John is a multi sport athlete that consists of football and track & field. The West Coast Striders Track Club program had the pleasure to work with John during his middle school days and now as a sophomore in high school he has developed into one of the top sprinters in the North Bay League. Mr. Groom will be competing this weekend at the 2026 NCS Championships in the 4x100m relay and the 100m dash. Good luck John!

Huge S/O to one of the original AZ West Coast Striders Noah Charves. Noah now a junior in high school at A+ Charter High School in Maricopa, AZ had a fantastic day at the CAA Track & Field State Championships in Arizona. Noah broke the state meet record winning the 1600m 🥇— Young Noah followed that up with another state champ’s victory in the 800m🥇— Congratulations Noah!! Keep on shining. Once a Strider always a Strider.

Huge congratulations to former West Coast Striders athlete and current Westmont College student athlete Janelle Wanliss for having a fantastic spring track season. Nelle made the podium with a PAC West Conference 400H 🥉- As a true freshman her time placed her 3rd all time in Westmont College history! To follow that up Janelle broke the freshman record in the 100H. Awesome job Nelle! Congratulations!
