The Rockies, representing the Midwest Suburban Baseball League from Illinois, had a standout weekend in the Wisconsin Amateur Baseball Classic. Despite being outscored 8-6 in their first game against Sheboygan As, the Rockies out-hit their opponents 11-7. They followed up with a decisive 8-7 win over the top-ranked Kewaskum A’s, staving off a late-inning rally. In game 3 Rockies Faced off with Another 1-1 team which also had hopes of playing on Sunday in the 12 team Final Four. Rockies put up 6 runs in the first high lighted by a 3R Homerun by Mitch Jordan . One bad inning saw the Spirits take a 9-6 lead but your boys didn’t give up. Trailing 9-12 in the top of the last inning Mike Shelhorn hits a game tying 3R Homerun but the hometown Spirits would walk it off in the bottom half.

Rockies led the tournament in Runs Scored (26) and hits (38) in the 3 pool play games
