Severn Run Fall Baseball Info!!!!
Wolves Baseball Families,
I hope everyone is having a great summer and finding some time to enjoy the break. As we look ahead to the upcoming school year, I’m excited about what we are building with Severn Run Wolves Baseball and, more importantly, about the opportunity to continue developing our players both on and off the field.
As long as I am at the helm, we will have fall baseball and summer baseball teams every year. As a staff we will continue to reflect, evaluate and make adjustments of improvement. Next summer Post 40 Wolves will welcome Coach Joe Mcvey, as the Director of Operations. Post 40 Wolves Senior team will run like any other summer club team with the advantage of playing in the 19U American Legion League coupled with 4-5 weekend tournaments, we will play competitive baseball for an affordable price. The The Senior Legion will host an open tryout and select the top 15 players. Depending on the demand of players interested, we could have a second 16u team that will also play American Legion League and 3-4 weekend tournaments.
Fall baseball is an important part of that process. It gives our players an opportunity to compete, develop their skills, build relationships with their teammates, and establish the culture we want to carry into the spring season.
As we begin preparations, please mark the following important dates on your calendars:

💰 FALL BASEBALL COST
The anticipated cost for fall baseball will be approximately $250–$300, consistent with last year's program. We will confirm the exact amount and provide additional payment information shortly.
💵 FALL FUNDRAISING — BUILDING OUR PROGRAM
Fall is also an important time for Wolves Baseball fundraising. Along with our annual Golf Classic, we will have several opportunities throughout the fall for our players and families to help support the program.
We want to make fundraising as simple and accessible as possible while giving every family an opportunity to contribute.
Our first campaign will be through SNAP.
Players and parents will simply create an account using the QR code that will be provided and enter 15 email addresses. From there, SNAP will handle the rest of the campaign. It is a simple way for our families to help generate support without having to manage the entire process themselves.
More information about SNAP and the fundraising process will be shared at our Fall Baseball Interest Meeting on August 26.
We will also have several additional opportunities throughout the fall, including:
Concession stand opportunities — Parents will be able to sign up to work concessions. A portion of the proceeds from those concessions is returned to the team represented by the parent who volunteers.
Fall Fair — We plan to have a Wolves Baseball table at the Fall Fair as another opportunity to promote our program and raise funds.
Super Bowl Raffle — We are also exploring the possibility of hosting a Super Bowl raffle later in the year, with additional details to come.
Fundraising is about more than raising money. It is about building a community around our players and creating the resources necessary to provide them with the best possible baseball experience.
Every volunteer hour, every fundraiser, and every contribution makes a difference. We would love to see more families become involved and help us continue building a program that our players can be proud to represent.
🐺 WELCOME TO THE WOLVES COACHING STAFF
I’m also excited to officially welcome new members to our baseball staff.
Please join me in welcoming Coach Billy Largent, who will serve as our Head JV Coach. We are excited to have Coach Largent joining the Wolves family and look forward to the leadership and experience he will bring to our players.
We also welcome Coach Rommel Watkins, who will serve as the Head Coach of Fall Team 1. Thank you, Coach Watkins, for stepping up and taking on this important role.
Coach Chris Barger will serve as the Assistant Head of Baseball Operations for the entire program. We appreciate Coach Barger’s continued commitment and leadership as we work to build a strong and successful baseball program.
⛳ SAVE THE DATE — 2ND ANNUAL WOLVES BASEBALL GOLF CLASSIC
Saturday, November 14
We are excited to announce the 2nd Annual Wolves Baseball Golf Classic.
More information to be shared in future.
Our parent and Sports Boosters liaison, Mr. Kevin Duffy, continues to do an outstanding job supporting our baseball program. Alongside Mrs. Amy Duffy, they consistently go above and beyond for our players and our program. We are extremely grateful for everything they do.
One of our goals this year is to get even more parents involved — whether through fundraising, volunteering, supporting events, or helping with the many tasks that go into running a successful baseball program.
We have some tremendous families who have consistently supported Wolves Baseball, and we want to build on that foundation by bringing even more of our baseball community together.
🏆 BUILDING SOMETHING SPECIAL
Our goal is bigger than simply preparing for a season. We are building a program — one that our players, families, coaches, and school community can be proud of.
As Vince Lombardi famously said:
“Individual commitment to a group effort — that is what makes a team work.”
That is the mindset I want us to carry into the fall. Every practice, every game, every conversation, and every effort matters. The standard we establish now will carry over into the spring.
Players — come ready to work.
Parents — thank you for continuing to support your sons and our program. Your involvement makes a tremendous difference.
Coaches — thank you for volunteering your time, energy, and experience to help our players grow.
We have a lot of work ahead of us, but I’m excited about where we are headed.
Let’s make this fall the beginning of something special.
