The Tammany Twirlers Square and Round Dance Club

The Tammany Twirlers are DARK (closed) on Saturday August 8th, in support of neighboring Tennessee State Square Dance Convention. NEXT week we feature the terrific Harry Case, square dance caller, on August 15th! Squares 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm.
Don’t forget we will enjoy Tuesday plus moves workshop with caller/instructor Mike Blohm. 7-9 pm.

It’s always a cool treat to enjoy these great dance leaders, who will be at Tammany Twirlers Clubhouse Saturday August 1st, 2026! Eric and Linda Dutton offer Intro to Rounds at 5 pm. Square dancing with caller Ted Kennedy starts at 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Look for lines/ mixers/ or a round by Duttons during breaks between tips!
Reminder, non-dancing guests are welcome always-it’s free to come watch! New dancers can start square dance lessons beginning September 8th, 7-9 pm, on Tuesdays with caller Mike Blohm, instructor.

Nick Hartley, caller, is our featured dance leader for the July 25th Saturday Square Dance! Let’s make this a “Beat the Heat and Dress Down” event (your square dance apparel is optional). Dance from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm at Tammany Twirlers Clubhouse, 35386 Home Estate Dr Slidell. Our dance floor is the “coolest” place to be, with a terrific caller! Please share!

Saturday July 18th, 2026, we will enjoy the singing talents of David Radecker, square dance caller at the Tammany Twirlers Clubhouse, 35386 Home Estate Drive, Slidell LA. There is no cooler way to enjoy an evening with new friends, fun and fantastic activity than square dance! Dancing 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. For non-dancing guests, come out and watch, enjoy company and light refreshments, for free! Our veteran dancers are always happy to share opportunities on scheduled new classes in the region. Ozone Squares in Covington has a Monday Open House for beginners, July 20th, 7:15 pm to 9:30 pm. Happy Fourth of July to our dance community! This day, July 4th, the Tammany Twirlers Clubhouse is DARK, as we enjoy being with friends and family in our communities.
NEXT week, Saturday July 11th 2026, we have caller Mark Castracane scheduled, 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, with his special style of classic square dancing and humor!

Today, June 20th, 2026, we will enjoy the square dance calling of Joey Duhamel! 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm for our Saturday Dance! (No Rounds or lines this dance.)
Note, on Saturday 6/27 and 7/4, the Clubhouse is DARK.
Tuesday 6/23/26 will be a planned square dance workshop, with new plus moves, 7-9 pm, by caller Mike Blohm. Check back on the Tuesday workshop schedule for the remainder of June/ July TBA. Lessons for beginners will be held in September on Tuesdays, Starting September 8th, 7-9 pm.
For the remainder of July 2026, Saturday evening 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm dances will feature caller Mark Castracane, July 11th, with his vintage style!
On the calendar for July 18th, caller Dave Radecker will present his signature singing call program, with sweet classics.
And returning on 25th of July, we have caller Nick Hartley, with his lively energy and talent!
For many of these summer weekends, cuers Eric and Linda Dutton will be visiting regional conventions, but when they are available, we will add Intro to Rounds, and lines/mixers during breaks. So stay tuned. Or text 985-640-1735 for info.
Be sure to check with our “sister “ Club, Casual Corners, who dance at the Tammany Twirlers Clubhouse two Sunday afternoons each month, 3-5 pm.
