What an incredible Day of Dance! 💜
Some of our dancers were lucky enough to travel today and take convention class with the legendary Scott Benson!
What made today even more special is that Ms. Maureen actually took convention classes from Scott when she was a teenager! It was such a full-circle moment to now see our dancers have the opportunity to learn from someone with such an extraordinary career and, even more importantly, to experience his genuine love, passion, and dedication to dance.
Mr. Scott has spent a lifetime on the dance floor — performing alongside incredible artists, including Michael Jackson (Beat It, Thriller, and Smooth Criminal- just to name a few), Madonna, Pink, Sting, and many more; appearing in numerous movies; and traveling the world throughout his amazing career and he is not slowing down. 🌎🎬
But what makes experiences like today so meaningful is seeing someone who has accomplished so much continue to share his knowledge, experiences, passion, and love of dance with the next generation of dancers.
There is something incredibly special about learning from an artist who has lived so much of what he teaches and is still excited to pass that knowledge along.
Our dancers had such a wonderful time learning, listening to his stories, soaking up every bit of his wisdom, and being inspired by his journey. These are the moments that stay with dancers forever — the lessons, the stories, the inspiration, and the reminder that dance can take you places you never imagined.
We are so proud of our dancers and so thankful for days like today that remind us just how beautiful it is to learn, share, inspire, and pass the love of dance from one generation to the next.
