“The red heart is white alabaster painted red that I carved a few years ago. The head is a resin window with barbed around the heart. The face is made from calico cream limestone and Italian ice alabaster, with blue sand and bronze powder inlay, with old railroad spikes.” -

Reminder that we got our start in marine resin! “I had thought about building an epoxy kayak for years, hesitating because of the task’s perceived difficulty…
We drove the finished boat to the ocean and put it in. My wife paddled the boat swiftly and surely across one mile of ocean to our cabin on an island where the kayak will spend its days touring the natural sights of Howe Sound, British Columbia.
