Carolina Soaring Association members & friends are able to soar all year round thanks to Spartanburg's mild climate. Except on the coolest winter days, local thermals often enable the gliders to remain aloft for hours after a short tow behind the club's Pawnee tow plane or be launched into the air by the club's winch.
