E-BIKES IN TEXAS: KNOW THE LAW!

Constable Mark Herman’s Office is reminding residents to know the difference between legal e-bikes and illegal motorized bikes before riding on public roads and sidewalks.

✅ Legal e-bikes in Texas must:
• Have fully operable pedals
• Be limited to 750 watts or less
• Not exceed 28 mph with motor assistance
• Follow all traffic laws

❌ Electric dirt bikes and other motorized bikes that do not meet Texas requirements are NOT street legal and may result in citations, vehicle impoundment, or other enforcement action.

⚠️ Parents are encouraged to speak with their children about riding responsibly and understanding the laws before operating these vehicles in neighborhoods and on roadways.

Our goal is to keep everyone safe while reducing dangerous riding behavior in Precinct 4.

Pool Season Starts This Saturday! ☀️

We’re kicking off the 2026 pool season this weekend and can’t wait to see everyone back out at the pool!

A few quick things to know for TOMORROW:
The Auburn Lakes Rapids Swim Team has a swim meet Saturday morning
The lap lane area will be in use until 3:00 PM
The splash pad WILL remain open during the meet
The full pool opens for regular use at 3:00 PM

Parking Reminder:
Please be mindful of neighborhood parking—do not block driveways and follow posted guidelines.

The Rec Center parking lot will be closed today from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM to accommodate the neighborhood crawfish boil activities and event setup.

Hi neighbors,

Unfortunately, both A/C units at the Fitness Center are currently out of service due to today’s power surge. We are actively working with our A/C vendor to get repairs underway as quickly as possible.

In the meantime, please be aware that temperatures inside the facility may rise to uncomfortable or unsafe levels. We encourage everyone to use caution if you choose to work out and stay well-hydrated.
