Rich Barcelo, PGA has never followed a perfectly drawn path.

From junior college to the University of Nevada, from earning his way through professional golf to finding his true lane in instruction, Rich’s journey has been built on belief, patience and the chip-on-your-shoulder mentality that comes from trusting your own road.

Today, as PGA Director of Instruction at Bluejack National, he shares those lessons with the players he coaches: work hard, stay patient and never compare your journey to someone else’s.

At PGA HOPE Southern Texas, we’re always looking for new ways to create opportunities for the Veterans in our programs—and this was a special one.

In partnership with bogeys2Birdies, Golf Club Trade-In Days at The Woodlands Country Club turned retired clubs into renewed opportunities for Veterans in PGA HOPE – The Woodlands. Thanks to this initiative, seven Veterans received full sets of clubs to continue their golf journey.

A huge thank you to bogeys2Birdies for bringing this idea to life and to James Larkin, PGA, for continuing to create meaningful experiences for the Veterans in our program. We’re grateful for partners and leaders who help make moments like this possible.
