After a whirlwind tour of Scandinavia, Great Britain, and the west coast of the European continent, Ms. Lansden (nidan) returns to continue her studies at the University of Arkansas.
To say we will miss her would be to criminally understate what her absence means to us, and we look forward to her return later this fall and the holidays. Please join us in wishing her a safe trip back and continued success in her studies and profession

From Murtaza Karimi: Today was a proud milestone as my granddaughter earned her new belt at Shudo Kan Karate Club. 🥋
It’s inspiring to see these young students grow in confidence, discipline, respect, and perseverance. Each belt reflects hours of dedication, practice, and determination.
A heartfelt thank you to the instructors at Shudo Kan Karate Club for your patience, commitment, and passion. You are shaping not only skilled martial artists but also confident, respectful, and disciplined young people. Your dedication in keeping children focused and motivated is truly appreciated.
Congratulations to Amenah on this well-deserved achievement. Keep working hard, stay humble, and enjoy the journey—we are so proud of you! 👏🥋❤️

Hey Karate family. Long time friends of the dojo will remember Sensei Vance Deopere and Mr. Mike Dirksen as two of the finest people whom we have had the joy of knowing during our 50+ years of teaching karate in the Springfield area. These great people sadly passed away recently and will be sorely missed.
To honor our friends, there will be a remembrance service at the dojo this Saturday from 6:00 PM to 9:00PM. Friends are absolutely encouraged to bring photos, videos, and any other memories of Vance and Mike. Thank you!
