May 12, 1983 Bruce Guettich and Greg Cortopassi officially opened the doors of World Footbag Association, championing a “by the players, for the players” business. After a long and industrious 42 year career, we are beyond grateful for his contributions to the sport and excited to announce Bruce’s retirement!

Bruce’s dedication to the sport, to his employees, and customers has been unwavering. His impact on the sport cannot be emphasized enough. To grow World Footbag, Bruce grew the sport of footbag-through touring teams, school shows, Worlds Fairs and the infamous Footbag World Magazine. Bruce’s legacy on the sport will have an impact on generations of footbag players to come.

World Footbag continues to promote the sport and manufacture the highest quality footbags. Bruce’s dedication to the sport is as strong as ever-you’ll likely see him at more events, tournaments and footbag circles with his extra time to play.

Please take a few minutes to watch Bruce’s official announcement in the link below.

Keep kickin’ Bruce!

Twas the night before Christmas and all through the land
Footbag filled stockings were plump, laden with sand
No creatures were stirring, in nary a dwelling
Though expectant hearts were thumping and swelling
When up on the roof I heard banging and thwacks
At the sound of Saint Nick kicking new Hacks!
Now Glostar! Now Shroom!
Now Trojan! Now Stally!
On Dirtbag! On PT!
On Steely One-Twenty!
That jolly old man was shredding with style
Then he sprang to his sleigh, and waved with a smile
And I heard him exclaim, as he drove out of view
Happy Holidays to you, and all of your crew!!

Wishing you health and happiness from our crew to yours!!

The Fab Four was back at their old stomping (kicking) grounds this past weekend! Good to see the Golden Welcome Arch! Golden CO was the home of the Footbag World Championships from 1985 - 1993. On the street is Greg Cortopassi, Bruce Guettich, Mag Hughes and Peter Shunny! And Jimmy Caveney is flying along side Bruce Guettich back in the day.
