❤️ We are sharing this for a very special young man and a cause that means so much to his family and the local animal rescue community.

Kennett “Ken” Nowlin is a 17-year-old Life Scout with Scouting America Troop 189 in Montclair, Virginia, and he is working toward the highest rank in Scouting—Eagle Scout.

For his Eagle Scout Service Project, Ken chose to give back to SFC Virginia Animal Rescue, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Spotsylvania that has helped save more than 13,000 animals. 🐶🐱

Ken’s project will improve the rescue’s existing walking trail, giving the dogs a safer, cleaner and more comfortable place to get exercise, enjoy the outdoors, and spend quality one-on-one time with volunteers and potential adopters.

He plans to build three benches on paver patios, install three solar-powered LED lights, and add a permanent dog-waste station—all while organizing and leading volunteers through the project.

His fundraising goal is $3,000, with the project estimated to cost about $2,700.

He is so close to crossing the finish line on this incredible journey, and your support could help make his Eagle project a reality while directly benefiting animals waiting for their forever homes. 🐾❤️

“We are rushing Lotus to the emergency vet RIGHT NOW. She got into a fight with a resident dog that was the aggressor and fought for her life. Her mouth and face are badly injured, she's bleeding, and we don't know how extensive the damage is yet. She might have a broken jaw.

We need donations NOW. We are trying to give her a chance before we're faced with the heartbreaking decision to euthanize yet another dog. 😭

I know we've been asking for a lot lately but these situations keep hitting us out of nowhere.
