These both occurred on the same green and are clearly intentional. Many people work extremely hard to provide very good conditions for many to enjoy. If you are to this point and are that frustrated, just pickup until the next hole or go take pause in the cart. There’s no shame in it, our emotions get the better of all of us at some point. But let’s not take it out on things and cause damage.

This past weekend we had several large branches break on trees at the oaks & unicorn. Please stay away from these trees until we can get a tree company out to take these limbs the rest of the way down safely. Thanks

Busy Monday morning for the ground staff today. Double groom and cut, topdress and brush, and a wetting agent application. Striving to keep these greens in tip top shape and improving.

In case you are wondering about all the little holes on the 8th green are about. A few weeks back the green was dealt a blow by a disease that affects the roots. That combined with the heat caused some turf loss through the center of the green. We treated the area for the pathogen which I am happy with the results. This week dimple seeded the weak and thin areas to complete the healing process. All those little holes have seed in them and will provide an excellent growing environment. Hopefully if the weather cooperates these areas should heal up in time, but it won’t be overnight. Try to remain patient. It’s already getting better.

I will start off by saying I think it’s really great that you’re applying sunscreen/bug spray! Please continue to do that. But…. If you could do it on the cart path, rough, or parking lot, the turf grass and I would appreciate it. The chemicals in the aerosols can burn the turf at the heights the greens, tees, and fairways are cut at. So, keep applying just not on the short grass! Have fun out there.
