Introducing…Coach Cam Miller!
You’ve probably seen Coach Cam around the gym the past couple months, but I thought now would be a great time to formally introduce him to our community, especially as he’ll be stepping in to cover some classes while Coach Emily is away on vacation next week.
Cam was born and raised in Northampton and earned a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Roger Williams University. While in college, he obtained his personal training certification, and has been working as a certified fitness coach for over 5 years. He began his fitness journey as a swimmer and fell in love with weightlifting, especially powerlifting, as a way to build power for swimming. Post graduation, Cam discovered CrossFit and Olympic-style lifting. These days, he likes to train a mix of Olympic lifting and rock climbing.
Cam has worked with a variety of clients including middle/high schoolers, seniors, and the special needs population. He holds various certifications including his CPT, Certified Stretch & Mobility Coach, and Special Needs & Adaptive Fitness Coach. His past experience included working in a physical therapy clinic, where he learned many functional training techniques and uses them as his primary focus when training clients.
Cam loves helping people in any way he can. He is excited to work with all different types of clients with different needs and goals. Cam is currently accepting new personal training clients Mon - Fri here at Commonwealth Strength.
Please join me in giving a warm welcome to the newest addition to our growing coaching team! Welcome Cam!
