Remember those 'clean' foods you thought you needed to eat to get in shape? Well, they "kind of "don't exist. For now, it's important to understand that there is nothing inherently bad about eating the foods we love. To look good naked we just need to focus a little more on the amount in which we consume them! If you eat a balanced diet and include fruit and veggies, there is no need to be afraid of processed, 'dirty' foods. I'm not in anyway advocating a diet full of processed food. I'm not suggesting the superiority of processed food over whole food at all.

What I am saying is that in the context of a nutrient dense diet, there is no such thing as a 'bad' food.


If we all ate the same meals and did the same workouts, we would still all have different bodies.

There’s a HUGE difference between losing weight and losing fat.

Focusing on weight ties you to the scale...

Which tells you NOTHING about your % body fat, which is the real number to focus on.

Literally just changing what you focus on is enough to set you on the right path.

It stops you from making unhealthy, short-term decisions that set you back further!

But if you want to see real, sustainable results, there's more to it of course.

A LOT more.

It would be awesome if you were motivated and positive every day, but it’s not realistic. If you’re not in the mood to heave some heavy metal or pound the pavement, taking one step in the right direction will have a much stronger impact on sticking with your goals than not taking a step at all. I am in competition with no one. I run my own race. I have no desire to play the game of being better than anyone. I just aim to improve, to be better than I was before. ❤️🤍


I stopped chasing a lower number on the scale. I've wrote about this previously. I found healthy habits I could stick to consistently that gave me freedom to live my life. I no longer have anxiety over breaking my "diet". I still have to work hard daily but I'm no longer worried about my worth tied to a scale. 💜💜💯💯

8.01: that banana suddenly has so many calories that it makes you gain weight overnight.

Do I get that right?

I get asked a lot what motivates me.
Well here is my take on motivation. It comes and goes however it wants. It might not last the end of the week. What I think I have is discipline. Motivation is the start, but if it’s not solidified into a discipline, it usually fades. That’s why we see so many people giving up! I do find motivation but on those days when I have ZERO motivation I hit it any ways, that's discipline. 💪💓

There is no fad diet, there is no detox, and there is no total deprivation. There are just a lot of small, everyday healthy changes that are going to help you to eat better, have more energy and just feel a whole lot healthier, because that’s what it’s all about. Just take each day as it comes and make small changes at a time.

Developing a healthy relationship with food is a top priority for me and we need to stop giving food all the power. There is no good and bad food (this of course doesn’t include people who have allergies), just consistent choices and you don’t have to 100% cut things out of your diet and never eat the things you enjoy again. Getting healthy and losing weight is about creating a healthy relationship with food, not an even unhealthier one. Happy Saturday 💜 💪

Stretching keeps the muscles flexible, strong, and healthy, and we need that flexibility to maintain a range of motion in the joints. Without it, the muscles shorten and become tight. Then, when you call on the muscles for activity, they are weak and unable to extend all the way.

You need to understand to add muscle to your glutes ladies ( or anywhere) but I get asked a lot about growing bigger glutes. The scale and possibly your pants size will go up!! Can't build something, yet stay the same weight/ size at the same time.

Kids today do not get the same amount of outdoor free play or physical education that previous generations did. Climbing trees for hours on end used to be “natural” strength training disguised as a lot of fun. But, the increased use of digital devices combined with cuts to physical education programs have diminished the exercise kids get on a daily basis. Lived training this little one this summer with her mom. I hope this stays with her and she continues to thrive ✨️ 💛 💓

Cellulite is gross? Says who? Who decides that cellulite is "unattractive"? Why is cellulite considered a "bad" thing? I know the media tells me it is! All over the TV & in magazines I see a barrage of advertisements for this special cream or a new treatment to get rid of your cellulite! I know cellulite is always Photoshopped out of pictures! You wouldn't Photoshop out a good feature would you? Well who says cellulite isn't a good feature!? Virtually every woman out there has or will have cellulite at some point in their life!

Women who have cellulite tend to have connective tissue that is arranged differently. Genetics, my friend. If your connective tissue is put together differently than your friend’s, your skin is going to look different. Just like skin color, hair, and height are all genetically determined, so is your predisposition to cellulite. That’s right, Mother Nature decides if you are to be dimple free or not.It’s time to show everyone what real, fit, athletic women look like. We are not the airbrushed “perfection” of fitness magazine myth. We are all different, unique, and we come in different shapes, colors, and sizes. And most of us are probably rocking a few dimples.
