I have never seen a womenβs magazine talk about fitness other than pounds on a scale β as if body fat, muscle mass, and skeletal composition are completely negligible to a body looks like. The end result is all these women trying to lose weight the wrong way β by cutting calories in their diet and trying to burn as many as possible aka. cardio.
Women are, for the most part, unaware that if they are exercising right they will be building muscle and their weight might not change very much. In fact, if they are doing everything right, their weight might even go up! And thatβs totally ok. ππ

1) Muscle Mass: muscle is very difficult to obtain, progress is depressingly slow for men & women. When you stop training a muscle youβll begin losing it within 2-3 weeks. You could work a year to build something that could be lost in weeks.
2) βBulkyββ¦ if you think standing up with weights will make you bulky. What are you implying? That youβll gain months worth of muscle everywhere because you started a standing movement in the gym?

It's not easy to accept our bodies as women. - "The goal is to retrain your brain how to think positively about your reflection and your body." Over time, telling yourself that you're beautiful, even if you don't believe it at first, will improve your confidence.
