Pre-race photos at 7:45 am and 8:10 am (wildlife safety talk starts at 8:15). I’ll have the MM/HF flag with me as the Alaska Ambassador — come find me for a pic! Tina Torun

Start times:
• 49k Ultra & early marathon – 8:00 am
• Marathon – 8:30 am
• Half marathon – 8:45 am

Field size looks solid: ~90 in the Ultra, ~325 in the full, ~700 in the half, and maybe ~350 in the 5k.

Weather is looking good this weekend! (Just remember… up here we start feeling warm once it hits 67–70°F.)

Awards note: Age-group awards are 5-year increments (top 3). The 49k Ultra only awards 1st place in each age group. Awards table is right after the finish area — they do not mail awards, so grab yours before you leave!

44 Miles of Grace at the Mulberry Mile

Melissa Thigpen(MM11161, DA1293, HF9945) – shares her recap from the Mulberry Mile 12 Hour Endurance Race, her 5th Ultra Marathon. (March 28, 2026)

Melissa Thigpen, "...It started off really good, even starting in the dark which I do NOT care for. After the sun rose and it was light out…..I fell at 3.60 miles , harder at 5.65 miles and even harder at 12.69 miles. I was bloody, scraped up on my knees, thighs, left hand and all up and down my right arm. My arm and shoulder were THROBBING. Not good that the arm that has the most damage with my torn rotator cuff is my dominant arm and the one I kept falling on. But God! Thankful, grateful and blessed to be able to get up and CONTINUE MOVING. Thank you Father God! ...
At 21.6 miles in a gentleman walked next to me and was talking to me about the Lord, he shared his testimony and before he moved on he said he would pray for me and my healing. As he ran off, I could hear him praying. By the time I hit 42 miles, he was struggling and I told his wife to let him know I was praying for him as he did me earlier. She thanked me. He was trying hard to run the miles of his upcoming birthday next month..."

Leveling up to Venus

Congratulations to Donna Sarasin(MM15364, DA3562, HF6371) for reaching the Half Fanatics Venus Level at the Town & Country half in Newburyport MA! She achieved this milestone by completing 13 half marathons in 79 Calendar Days. Congratulations, Donna! This was also Donna’s 155th Half Marathon.
