Catching up with Matt Lenehan in UTMB®️ World Series action. After a podium age group finish in the 15K at Mont-Blanc in August, he almost nailed a top 10 overall finish yesterday at the HOKA Kodiak Ultra Marathons 50K, but a late wrong turn around 25 miles meant the finish line satisfaction from a great fall of training will have to wait for another day.

Another warm one this morning for the Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series San Jose Half! Sierra Castaneda raised the curtain on her time with the club, managing the pace early and earning a slight PR with a strong finishing 3rd place of 1:16:31. Sarah Anderson hung in for 8th in good marathon prep work.

On the men’s side, Tie hung with the main pack from the start, staying calm and holding on for 5th, while Ethan Phelps went back to front and nearly caught him in 6th. Hopefully Kyle Eller gets an elite bib next year after winning the mass race and catching a ton of guys in the elite field from a minute back to earn 15th overall.
