GO WHERE THE DAY BOATS DON’T!

Join Paragon in the 𝗘𝘅𝘂𝗺𝗮 𝗖𝗮𝘆𝘀, 𝗕𝗮𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗮𝘀, July 10–16, 2027, for six nights aboard the Cat Ppalu sailing catamaran.

Cat Ppalu accommodates only 12 guests, which means a small group of divers, easy access to the water and plenty of time to compare photos and stories between dives.

And the diving? Up to 18 dives across protected reefs, walls, wrecks and clear Bahamian water. Look for Caribbean reef sharks, nurse sharks, turtles, rays, groupers, eels and plenty of smaller reef life.

Bring your GoPro. Pack the Insta360. Full camera rigs are welcome too. You’re going to want the footage.

A 5mm wetsuit is a 5mm wetsuit.
Right?

Not even close.

Why can one cost $250 and another $700?

𝟭. 𝗙𝗜𝗧
Too loose = flushing. Cold water in, warm water out. Even expensive neoprene can’t rescue a bad fit.

𝟮. 𝗡𝗘𝗢𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗘
This is the big one. Neoprene can vary wildly in stretch, density, compression, recovery, durability, and overall feel.
5mm is a thickness — not a quality rating.

𝟯. 𝗦𝗘𝗔𝗠𝗦, 𝗦𝗘𝗔𝗟𝗦 & 𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗦
Better construction can reduce water movement, hold heat better, and make the suit far more comfortable.

Water temperature is only part of the equation. Dive time, repetitive dives, current, activity level, and how easily YOU get cold all matter.

Some divers are happy in a 3mm.

Some pack a 5mm for Cozumel.

You know who you are.

The point?

Don’t choose a wetsuit by thickness alone.
