🅰️ Yes, that is an Angels cap. No, I will not be taking it off. ⚾️😏
I walked into Braves Country dressed like a man who lost a bet, except I would make this bet every single time. A lifelong Angels fan does not check his colors at the state line. The A travels. The A does not apologize. The A posed for pictures under a Braves sign the size of a freeway billboard, because confidence looks good in red. 🧢🔥
Was there a game? No. Did I need one? Also no. I came, I saw, I represented. Truist Park got a free scouting report today: this fanbase shows up in October, even when nobody is playing. 🏟️🍂
And because the baseball gods have a sense of humor, the nicest couple at the Shake Shack offered to take our photo, mine and the kids, right there on enemy turf. Did they judge the cap? If they did, they hid it better than most bullpens hide a lead. We took their picture too. Diplomacy, but make it burgers. 🍔📸
Simon Sinek says life is beautiful not because of the things we see or do, but because of the people we meet. Fine. But let the record show the people were met by a man brave enough to wear the wrong cap in the right spirit. 🙏❤️
💬 Your move: name a bolder cap to wear in a rival ballpark. I will wait. 👇
