Help Keep Victoria’s Parks Beautiful!

Victoria’s parks are places to play, explore, gather and enjoy the outdoors. Keeping them beautiful is something we can all help with.

The next time you visit a Victoria park:
- Pick up your trash and take it home if containers are full
- Clean up after your pets
- Stay on designated trails and leave natural areas undisturbed
- Use park amenities as intended and follow posted rules
- Report damaged or vandalized amenities through the City’s Report an Issue system

Looking for an even more hands-on way to help? The City offers Park Clean-Up Kits with supplies for groups of up to 10 people to organize a clean-up with friends, family or community groups.

As part of the Bavaria Road project, the project team will be replacing the trail connection between Anthony Way and Bavaria Road taking place on September 3 and 4, 2026.

While the work takes place, the section of the trail will be closed to the public.

New look at Lake Bavaria

For many years, a type of red rock gravel has covered the surface of Lake Bavaria's public access. This gravel can break down and erode into the lake causing sediment pollution. Last week, the surface was replaced with crushed granite. Granite is a harder rock that does not break down as easily as red rock, reducing sediment pollution in the lake. Six inches of granite was placed on top of the current red rock and will be compacted in place by traffic.
