Due to construction on the bike trails, we will be at a slightly different location this year than we had the previous two years. We're starting at the Boys City Trailhead.
Parking there is very limited!
If parking at the boy city location is full then we can use:
1) The overflow parking lot located at the bottom of Chestnut Hill
2) The gravel overflow lot across from Cherry Creek Bridge
3) Park along cherry creek on Columbus.
Plan ahead to allow yourself time to walk from your parking spot. Athletes, you may want to swing by and unload gear and then go park and walk back.

This coming weekend is our third annual Run-Ruck Endurance Challenge. There's still time to sign up. (You can even sign up on the day, but the price will increase then.) https://linktr.ee/crossfithaymaker
π Remember to bring a sturdy backpack, and we encourage you to bring lots of canned goods to weight your pack and donate to Fellowship Missions afterward.
π The event starts at 5pm, and set-up will begin at 3pm. Athletes are welcome to come early and get familiar with the course.

Want to volunteer to help us at the Run-Ruck Endurance Challenge? We'd be happy to have a little assistance. We'll need a small team to help with scoring, guiding guests, and making sure athletes have what they need. Send us a message if you'd like to participate.

Due to construction on trail improvements, the event this year is at a new location.
BOYS CITY TRAILHEAD
Near 309 Boys City Dr, Winona Lake, IN 46590
There is a parking lot at the entrance to the trails, but parking space will be very limited! We recommend planning for extra time to park in Winona Lake at the Park and walk to the trailhead.

This event is a way for us to help our community by gathering canned goods for Fellowship Missions. We ask participants to bring 15.5 oz canned goods to fill their ruck packs. These will be left behind after the event to be donated. Our goal is to gather 2000 pounds worth of food to be donated.
Haven't signed up yet? You can do that here: linktr.ee/crossfithaymaker

If you're gearing up for hours on the trail, packing smart can make a big difference. Here's a list of things that might come in handy, whether you're racing hard, supporting a teammate, or posting up at basecamp between laps:
Essentials for the Race:
β
Backpack (make sure it fits well and is secure)
β
Headlamp or flashlight
β
Hydration pack or reusable water bottle
β
Electrolytes or salt tabs
β
High-calorie snacks
β
Extra socks and a dry shirt
β
Anti-chafe balm or body glide
β
Sunscreen and bug spray
β
Small towel or cooling cloth
β
Lots of 15.5 oz Canned Goods - to weight your pack and to be donated to Fellowship Missions after the race is over! These can be taped in groups of 4 cans to keep them from jostling around so much in your pack.
Comfort for Downtime and Support Crew:
πͺ Bag chair or camp stool
βΊ Tent or pop-up canopy for shade or shelter
π§ Cooler with drinks and recovery snacks
π§₯ Sweatshirt or jacket for when the sun dips
Weβll have coffee, drinks, and light snacks available at check-in, but bringing extra is a great idea, especially for long efforts or crew support.
π Race starts at 5:00 PM, but you're welcome to arrive as early as 3:00 PM to set up your camp area and walk the course to get familiar with the terrain. π
Bring a good attitude, a little grit, and your team spirit. This event is as much about the community as it is about the miles!!

Murph is a CrossFit Hero workout that stands as a testament to the enduring legacy of U.S. Navy SEAL Lt. Michael Murphy, who died heroically in the line of duty in Afghanistan on June 28, 2005.
Murph was introduced as a CrossFit Hero workout on Aug. 18, 2005, and has become a long-standing tradition observed by CrossFit and a broader global community of athletes. Thousands of CrossFit gyms program Murph each year on Memorial Day as a way to honor Lt. Murphy and all others who have served.
