No staged moment. No specific story. Just a random collection of people, on a random day, doing the work.

Different ages. Different goals. Different reasons for walking through the door.

Some have been here since the beginning. Some are just getting started. Some train quietly. Some somehow know everyone in the building.

They’ll never all know each other’s stories. They don’t have to.

Because this is what Impakt looks like most days.

People showing up. Taking up space. Getting stronger. Having hard days. Coming back anyway.

And somewhere in all of those completely ordinary days, a gym becomes more than the building it lives in.

It becomes the people who keep walking through the door.

Inside Impakt 👊🏽

It’s hard to tell the story of Impakt without Lou in it.

Different seasons.
A whole lot of growth.
Approximately 47 of my ideas.
And more workouts than either of us could ever count.

She’s been here for it.

And not just here.

All in.

Lou does everything like Lou.

Bright colors, big personality, a little spicy, a lot competitive, and never halfway.

She’ll show up dressed better than all of us, bring fruit or baked goods for everyone, volunteer before we even have to ask, cheer for someone across the room, and then casually humble someone half her age in a workout.

But what she has given Impakt goes way beyond any of that.

She notices the new person.
She remembers people.
She celebrates their wins.
She makes people feel like they belong here before they’ve had time to wonder if they do.

And every single day she trains, she quietly raises the standard for what consistency actually looks like.

That kind of person changes a community.

Year after year, Lou has kept choosing us, while simultaneously helping shape the kind of place people want to keep choosing.

That one gets me.

Lou, thank you for believing in this place, loving our people so well, and giving more to this community than you probably realize.

We love you. The extra -real- gross- kind.

We built a really nice gym👊🏽

We filled it with exceptional equipment, recovery, 24/7 access, and coaches who are really good at what they do.

But somewhere along the way, the thing we became most proud of had very little to do with any of that.

It’s the people who walk through the doors.

The ones who show up nervous. The ones who have been training for decades. The ones starting over. The ones chasing something big. The ones who just need an hour that belongs to them.

Different reasons. Different starting points. Same place.

Turns out, the best thing we built wasn’t the gym.

It was the room for all of them.
