Salsa Dancing: Fridays at the Hampton Lodge in September

Our Friday salsa nights are rolling, and there’s another one tomorrow from 6-8pm on the Ka-Wham side of the Hampton Lodge!

No experience is required; our instructor starts with the basics and will meet you at your level, so you can show up cold and be moving by the end of the night. Free and open to all ages.

We’re excited to be a part of Fiestas Mexicanas again this year! Come find our table this Friday, September 11 (4–9pm) at Triangle Park, and we'll be back again Saturday too.

We'll have info on winter passes, ski school lessons, and anything else you want to know about getting up to The Ridge this season. Come ask our staff any questions you might have about the mountain...plus, we'll be giving away plenty of swag. See you there!

A big shoutout to our friends at Cascade Subaru, who spent Subaru Loves Learning month adopting classrooms at Washington Elementary School here in Wenatchee. The program puts funding directly in teachers’ hands to buy what their classrooms actually need. Thanks for your consistent contributions to the community Cascade Subaru - it doesn’t go unnoticed.

For the upcoming weekend (9/11-9/13), we’ll have these hours at the Chair 5 Pub:

- Friday: 4-9pm
- Saturday: CLOSED
- Sunday: 9am-2pm

On Saturday, the restaurant will be closed for a private event, as we’re excited to host a wedding here on the mountain!

Fast-changing clouds and a faint dusting of high-elevation snow have brought us some beautiful scenes on the mountain over the last few days. Yesterday our lift maintenance manager, Billy, made the trip up and snapped these shots as evening fell. We’re expecting another day or so of chilly conditions before returning to seasonable temps and blue skies for the coming week. But it’s been great to get an early taste of what’s to come.

Is that what it looks like?!

Yep, flakes coming down above 6000 feet this evening, with the slightest hints of accumulation in high, sheltered spots! September has ushered in a few days of chilly conditions here on the mountain. Summit temps dipped below freezing for the first time in the pre-dawn hours Thursday morning before rising a bit throughout the day.

With falling temps and precipitation in the area this evening, I made the hike to the top of Chair 2 to check things out, and sure enough was rewarded with a bunch of sleet and a few minutes of real snow!

I’m sure we’ve got plenty of hot days still to come, but winter is getting closer every day. Read the latest Mountain Report at missionridge.info/4zWJJ45

Who’s ready for co****le this Saturday?!

We’re celebrating the last long weekend of the summer with a classic lawn game competition outside the Hampton Lodge, with check-in starting at 1pm and matches starting at 2. The double-elimination format means everyone will play at least 2 games, but after that it’s win-or-go-home.

Sign up ahead of time to lock in your spot; it’s completely free to play! Walk-on teams will also be accepted day-of. Good luck!
