Another successful night of snowmaking in the books! Guns were able to fire up around 5pm last night, and Sunspot guns were on blast all night long as the night shift kept things rolling. Temps dropped enough to allow Tumwater 2 into the mix around 10pm.

Guns shut down this morning as the sun climbed higher and warmed things up a bit. Looking ahead this week, a slight warming trend may push these marginal temps over the line and force a pause in snowmaking. Cloud cover and chances for natural snow showers will return later this week. The snowmaking crew is staying vigilant and ready to capitalize on every window of opportunity!

With the snow guns fired up, that’s our cue to switch to our pre-season schedule at the Chair 5 Pub. November hours at the restaurant will include dinner on Fridays and Saturdays from 4-9pm. Expect a cozy vibe as we stay warm in the Hampton Lodge and revel in the excitement for the upcoming season.

A couple of special events shift the schedule, so here’s the full lineup for the next three weekends:

- Fri, Nov 6: 4–9 pm
- Sat, Nov 7: 4–9 pm
- Fri, Nov 13: 4–9 pm
- Sat, Nov 14: Prime Rib Dinner, with seatings at 5, 6, and 7 pm. Reservations required.
- Fri, Nov 20: Closed. We’ll see you at Warren Miller’s Days Off at the Wenatchee Convention Center!
- Sat, Nov 21: 4–9 pm

We’re hiring for our 60th season for roles all around the mountain!

Some of these jobs take you out on the snow all day, while others work behind the scenes in the shop or keep the food and drinks flowing smoothly in the lodge. Every one of them is crucial to make a day at The Ridge happen.

If you’ve ever wanted your commute to end at 4,570 feet, this is the winter to do it.

The holidays have a way of sneaking up on all of us. If you're starting to think about where to bring your team, family, or friends together this season, the Hampton Lodge at Mission Ridge is ready to host.

With room for groups from 10 up to 325, a fireplace, a full-length bar, on-site catering, and views in three directions, it's a holiday party with a little more altitude than the usual banquet room.

With snowmaking set to start on Sunday, it's time to put another pre-season tradition on the calendar. The Mission Ridge Volunteer Patrol is bringing Warren Miller's 77th film, Days Off, to the Wenatchee Convention Center on Friday, November 20.

This year, host Katie Burrell sets out to see what the world's best skiers and riders do with a day off: heli laps and oysters in Alaska, the steeps of Chamonix, deep Hokkaido powder, and Banff's skijoring course. Every ticket supports the Mission Ridge Volunteer Patrol.

As usual, the Volunteer Patrol will also host a raffle and silent auction as a fundraiser. Raffle tickets are $1 apiece, and you'll also earn one raffle ticket for each item of canned food you bring to the event. Donated food goes to the Chelan Douglas Community Action Council, who will distribute it to local food banks.

2 days till snowmaking can begin. Last night brought another dusting across all elevations, but now all attention turns to the forecast. Cold temps are the name of the game with guns set across Sunspot, Tumwater, and Mimi. The crew will fire things up as soon as temps drop after midnight on Halloween.

It seems that new snow adorning the roof of the Hampton Lodge has put the kitchen crew in a celebratory mood, because Chef Rey is excited to announce a Prime Rib dinner on November 14th!

Two Saturdays from now, we’re hosting a pre-season Prime Rib Dinner at the Chair 5 Pub. The menu is highlighted by tender prime rib with au jus and horseradish sauce, smoked turkey, & pesto Parmesan potatoes. We’ll also enjoy live music from Eric Link in front of the fireplace from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.
