Dear Members and Prospective Kendo Players,

We are excited to announce that UTKC will be hosting two Orientation Practices on Thursday, September 30th from 8:00-9:30PM in the Athletic Centre's Upper Gym and Saturday, October 2nd from 10:00-11:30AM in the Athletic Centre's Dance Studio and the Goldring Centre's Fitness Studio.

The deadline for orientation registration is Tuesday, September 28th at noon. A confirmation email with the assigned time slots and further instructions will be sent Tuesday night to all who registered.

For those who have already registered for the orientation practices and plan to attend, please read the following information carefully:

Due to AC restrictions, we are now only accepting people with an AC membership to attend the Club practices (including the Orientation). Please make sure you have a valid Athletic Centre membership before attending our practices otherwise you will not be able to access the facility (for U of T students, the AC membership is included in the tuition fee so this will not be a concern).

Furthermore, we are limiting the amount of attendees to orientation practices to meet the AC's maximum capacity. That means, for Thursday's Orientation practice, the maximum capacity for the Upper Gym is 60 people. For Saturday, we have split the orientation practice into two venues in order to meet the maximum capacity of 20 people for the Dance Studio and 15 people for the Goldring Centre's Fitness Studio.

Therefore, please refer to the confirmation email for your assigned time slot and come at the assigned time and place for the orientation in order to meet the AC's maximum capacity. The confirmation email will be sent on Tuesday night, September 28th.

We are still accepting registration for Orientation practices, so please do refer the form below to any prospective Kendo players who are U of T students!

https://forms.gle/UQkgVmYfvNoHdfv27

Also, feel free to share our Orientation poster below!

As mentioned in the poster, please arrive on time wearing comfortable work-out clothes and a mask. You must complete UCheck on the day of the practice prior to entering the AC. No shoes are allowed within the dojo (practice venue). We will have a place for you to leave your shoes or you may leave it in the lockers in the changerooms.

Regular practice for UTKC members will start after the Orientation practices end. On Thursday, September 30th, practice will start at 9:30PM. On Saturday, October 2nd, practice will start at 11:30AM. If you are registered for the orientation practice and are not a member of UTKC please disregard this last message.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!
