The practice of yoga reminds us that transition is not about having every step figured out. It’s about meeting ourselves where we are, releasing what no longer serves us, and choosing, again and again, to move forward with intention.

Instead of spending all of our energy resisting the old, what might happen if we poured that energy into building something new?

A new perspective.
A new rhythm.
A new way of showing up for ourselves.

This is the art of transition: honoring where we’ve been while making space for where we’re going. 💚

Today marks 28 years since my mom passed away.

It’s difficult to put into words what it means to have lived so much of my life without her. Grief has changed alongside me throughout the years—sometimes quiet and sometimes impossibly heavy, but always present in some form.

The loss of both my mom and my dad ultimately became the catalyst for creating Hope Yoga. Yoga gave me a place to move through my grief when words weren’t enough. It helped me reconnect with my body, discover strength within myself and begin transforming my pain into resilience. I wanted to create a space where others could experience that same kind of healing while feeling supported by a community.

Although our stories may be different, grief is something we can all understand. We grieve people we have lost, relationships that have changed, seasons that have ended, versions of ourselves we have outgrown and futures that unfolded differently than we imagined. Grief takes many forms—and we were never meant to navigate it alone.

Hope Yoga exists because of loss, but it has grown because of love: the love I continue to carry for my parents and the love, connection and support shared within this community every day.

Each September, I offer our In Remembrance Deals as a way to honor my mom’s life and welcome more people into the healing space that grew from her memory.

To honor Helen we will be offering specials Saturday, September 12th - Monday, September 14th

Sometimes transition feels like standing at the edge of something unknown.

You don’t know exactly what comes next.
You can’t see the whole path and you may not feel ready to take the next step.

So start smaller.

One breath.
One moment.
One choice.
One step.

Yoga teaches us that we don’t have to move through an entire practice at once. We simply meet the moment we’re in and move from there.

Whatever you’re navigating right now, you don’t have to have the whole journey figured out.

Just take the next breath. 💚

September reminds us that beginnings don’t only happen in January.

A new season can be an invitation to pause, take a breath, and meet yourself exactly where you are.

On our mats, we practice beginning again all the time. We return to the breath. We find our balance. We notice what has changed. We let go of the expectation that we should already know what comes next.

The art of transition is learning to enter each moment with curiosity instead of certainty.

You don’t have to have it all figured out.
You simply have to be willing to begin again. 🍂

Jackie, Founder + Owner of Hope Yoga here! 😝😝

Our family is so excited to share that we’ll be welcoming Hope Yoga baby #2 in February! Charlie is gearing up to be a big brother, and Penny, our Newfoundland is still getting used to the idea of having a second kid in the house that will continue stealing her attention!

As joyful as this news is for us, I also know that pregnancy announcements can bring up many different emotions. If you are currently navigating infertility, pregnancy loss, waiting, uncertainty or a journey that looks different than you imagined, please know that I am holding space for you. Our journey has not always been easy but it has been so worth all of the struggles and challenges! 🌈 Keeping anyone on their journey close in my heart!

We feel incredibly grateful for this growing little life and for a community that has supported our family through so many seasons. We can’t wait for another tiny yogi to join the Hope Yoga family! 🙏🏻💚✨

Now the real question is: will this baby be a ginger like Charlie?! And will they be a boy or a girl?? Vote in the comments below ⬇️⬇️

You don’t have to rush into the next version of yourself.

You don’t have to have the plan figured out.
You don’t have to know exactly what comes next.
You don’t have to turn every transition into a transformation overnight.

Some seasons are simply asking you to be here.

To breathe.
To listen.
To notice what is changing.
To trust what is unfolding.

There is wisdom in the pause between chapters.

We’re practicing staying present while things around us might be in a state of transition. 💚

As August comes to a close, we’re reminded that strength doesn’t always come from holding our ground.

Sometimes, it comes from moving with what is.

A new month invites a new perspective. A chance to loosen our grip on what we thought things needed to look like, make space for what is unfolding, and trust that we can adapt without losing ourselves.

Like water, we can be soft without being stagnant. Flexible without being unsteady. Open to change without letting change carry us away.

As we step into September, may we carry the softness we’ve practiced this month with us and remember that there is strength in allowing ourselves to flow.

A new month and a new perspective. The same practice of coming back to ourselves. 🧘🏻‍♀️

As we move into the month of September, we invite you to explore the art of transition. 🍃

Not because change is always easy.
Not because you need to have the next chapter figured out.
Not because every transition needs to be met with certainty.

But because there is an art to moving through change with presence.

Sometimes transition looks like releasing what no longer serves you.
Trusting the unknown.
Allowing yourself to pause between what was and what comes next.
Finding steadiness when things feel uncertain.
Making space for something new.
Returning to your breath when you don’t know the way forward.
