As we celebrate the 25th Anniversary of 5280 Gymnastics, we’re reflecting on the people, moments, and causes that have shaped our community over the years. One of the most meaningful is our continued support of the Blood Cancer United in honor of Jim Trammell. ❤️

“My husband Jim was an inspiration to everyone who knew him. He took on the fight against his cancer diagnosis like any project he tackled. He studied, planned, worked hard and he never gave up. He believed in the work of Blood Cancer United and while a cure did not come in time for Jim, I firmly believe a cure will be found in our lifetime.

Now more than ever, the Blood Cancer United needs our help. 5280 Gymnastics is gearing up for our annual ‘Carnival for a Cause’ on August 30th, and we continue to donate to BCU in lieu of team trophies at our home meets, all in support of the Walk.

What a weekend for 5280 Gymnastics!

At their first Junior National Championships:
Rocco A. — 9th in the nation
Mason M. — 14th in the nation

Our 5280 alumni had an incredible Senior National Championships:
Yul Moldauer — 5th AA, U.S. P-Bars Champion, Men’s National Team
Taylor Burkhart — 7th AA, Men’s National Team
Asher Cohen — U.S. Rings Champion, Men’s National Team

And the honors didn’t stop there:
Coach Sasha — 2026 U.S. Men’s Junior Coach of the Year
Asher Cohen — 2026 Sportsperson of the Year
Yul Moldauer — 2026 Athlete of the Year

Vitaliy G competed in the Brazilian Gymnastics Championships this weekend and won First All Around and is the new Brazilian Men's Gymnastics Champion.

An incredible testament to the program Coaches Vladimir, Irina, and Sasha have built at 5280. We couldn’t be prouder!

Every one of these boys competing this weekend started with us as a preschooler or elementary schooler. A powerful reminder of what’s possible when strong fundamentals are built early—and developed over time. So proud of how far they’ve come!

A huge congratulations to Mason Martin and Asher Cohen who have secured their spots to the 2026 ! We are excited to follow your journey and are so proud of our athletes.

What an incredible weekend for our 5280 alumni at the Pan American Championships!

We're so proud to see former 5280 athletes representing their countries on the international stage and continuing to achieve amazing things.

Yul Moldauer — Pan American Champion on Parallel Bars, 4th on Pommel, 4th on Rings, 7th on High Bar, and a member of the Team USA Bronze Medal-winning team.

Vitaliy Guimaraes — Bronze Medalist on Floor Exercise and a member of Team Brazil's 4th-place finish.

Taylor Burkhart — 7th on Parallel Bars, 6th on High Bar, and a member of the Team USA Bronze Medal-winning team.

Melissa Fernandez proudly represented both the Dominican Republic and the 5280 family throughout the competition.

Watching our alumni continue to pursue excellence on the world stage is a reminder of the impact that hard work, determination, and passion can have throughout an athlete’s gymnastics journey.
