🏑🌎 BEYOND STICKS STAFF ON THE WORLD STAGE! 🌎🏑

Our Beyond Sticks Adapted Field Hockey Staff, Director and Coach Heidi Lewis and Coach Sarah, arrived home yesterday after an incredible experience in Belgium coaching Team USA at the first-ever FIH ParaHockey World Cup for athletes with intellectual impairment.

Heidi served as Co-Head Coach of the U.S. Para Field Hockey Team, with Sarah serving as Assistant Coach.

And what an experience it was:
🇺🇸 8 U.S. athletes
🌎 16 teams from around the world
🏑 8 games over 8 days
💙 Athletes with intellectual impairment competing on the world stage
🤝 New friendships and connections across countries

“It was very exciting to be representing Team USA and coaching these incredible athletes!”

We are so proud that the coaches who lead our Beyond Sticks Adapted Field Hockey program are also helping grow the sport at the international level.

This is what sport can do. It creates opportunities to compete, connect, belong, and grow.

Play Beyond the Game Award applications for Fall 2026 are due Monday, August 24.

Full and partial scholarships are available for athletes in our 1st–12th grade programs.

If financial support would help make fall field hockey possible for your family, we encourage you to apply.

Your daughter could try a fall sport for FREE?

We know fall gets expensive. Between school, activities, sports, equipment, and everything else, sometimes adding one more thing just doesn’t make sense.

That’s why we offer the Play Beyond the Game Award, with full and partial scholarships available for Fall 2026.

And if your daughter already plays another sport, that’s okay too! Field hockey can be a fun way to try something new, meet new friends, build confidence, and be part of a team.

Middle school is such a fun time to keep growing as a well rounded athlete! And we’re excited to welcome more athletes to the turf this fall. 💙

Our middle school programs give athletes the opportunity to:

🏑 Build and refine their skills
🧠 Grow their game understanding
🏆 Play and compete
🤝 Build friendships and teamwork
🌱 AND MOST IMPORTANT! Develop leadership through Play Beyond the Game, which directly helps with a middle schooler’s social and emotional world.

With Development and Academy options available for eligible athletes, there’s an opportunity to find the right fit based on age, location, and experience.

Both programs help athletes grow as field hockey players and leaders, but they offer different experiences.

🌱 Development is a great fit for athletes who are building their foundation, gaining confidence, and learning through play.

⭐ Academy is designed for experienced athletes who know the basics, can execute skills on the move, understand the game, and are ready for more competitive training and game play.
