Parent/Junior 9-Hole Tournament is happening Sunday, July 26 at MacDonald Golf Course. Tee off at 2pm in a fun 2-person alternate shot format, just $30 per person.

Juniors 17 and under team up with a parent for 9 holes of alternate shot, and here's the fun part: parents are limited to just three clubs. That's right, those summer lessons your junior has been working on? Time to show mom or dad how it's done.

Prizes go to the top parent/child duo in each flight, but the real win is the time spent together on the course.

🌟 Fireworks begin at approximately 9:30 p.m. (immediately following the Wind Surge game at Equity Bank Park) 🎶 This year’s show is choreographed to music! Download the Pyrocast App or scan the event QR code to sync the soundtrack with the fireworks for the ultimate viewing experience.

Bug spray is great for you. Not so much for our turf.

Did you know insect repellent can damage grass on contact? The photo below shows exactly what happens when bug spray is applied while standing on the course. The chemicals burn the turf right where you’re standing. You can still make out where their feet were!

Do us a favor: step onto the cart path or pavement before applying. Your skin will still be protected, and our greens will thank you!

After months of hard work, the major projects at Macdonald Golf Course are complete — and the results speak for themselves.

Our new irrigation system is delivering consistent, healthy turf across the property, and the fully renovated bunkers are looking sharper than ever. The fairways are lush, the course is in great shape, and with the big work behind us, our team can now focus on the fine details that make every round better.

Huge shoutout to Kat Couch and Joni Bevan for their incredible volunteer work at the legendary Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles in prep for the Women’s US Open! 🌿⛳ they has been putting in the work behind the scenes — mowing the fairways and whipping them clean of grass clippings to help keep the course in pristine condition. And if that wasn't cool enough, Kat even got to stand on the famous 6th green, home to one of golf's most iconic features: the bunker right in the middle of the green! Kat and Joni, thank you for giving your time and effort to one of the most storied courses in the world. We love seeing you out there! 👏🏌️‍♀️

Shout out to our assistant golf course superintendent Kat Couch, representing MacDonald and Golf Wichita at the U.S. Women’s Open at Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles.

Yesterday, Kat and five volunteers walked the Front 9 fairways, filling divots and planning entry and exit lines to ensure precise mowing today. Six operators will run triplex fairway mowers in tandem, coordinated with a lead grounds crew member from Riviera. We are incredibly proud of Kat’s skill, professionalism, and dedication!
