⚔️ WARRIOR WEDNESDAY ⚔️

This week, we’re putting the spotlight on MacKenzie “Mack” (Mack Truck) Anderson! 🏉🔥

Mack is heading into her third year with the Wichita Valkyries, holding it down in the front row as a PROP! 💪 She was recruited at a Wind Surge game, and the rest is history! Since then, she’s earned Pack Player honors for the 2024–2025 season! 🏆 She has also been our Treasurer since last season!

Before rugby, Mack played basketball and softball at Central Christian College. Off the pitch, she’s an assistant principal, a wife, a mom, and a pet parent to two dogs and two cats! When she’s not tackling opponents or making a difference at school, you can find her camping, hiking, reading, or playing video games with her son. 🎮🏕️

🏉 Get to Know Mack!

🔥 15s or 7s? 15s all the way!

🌎 Coolest tournament? Parrot Bay 7s in Tulsa!

⭐ Favorite rugby player? Portia Woodman

🎒 Game day essentials? Contacts, sunscreen, braided hair, and chub rub!

🤢 Biggest rugby ick? Someone farting in the scrum. 💨😂

🦸 Dream superpower? Freezing time!

🍻 Favorite social theme? B**r Olympics!

🏝️ Desert island teammates? Courtney, Ave, and Jelly!

💜 What keeps Mack coming back to rugby?

“The camaraderie. Everyone is welcome no matter skill, years played, athleticism, etc. Everyone is friendly and open to other players.”

For Mack, rugby is about more than what happens on the pitch. It’s about teamwork, resilience, respect, and finding a community where everyone belongs.

We’re lucky to have Mack bringing her strength, leadership, and love for the game to the Valkyries! 💪💛

⚔️ WARRIOR WEDNESDAY ⚔️

Meet Anjelica “Jelly” Haberlein! 💪🏉

Heading into her THIRD year with the Valkyries, Jelly brings speed, strength, face glitter, and a whole lot of personality to the backline as a fullback and outside center! ✨

Inspired by Ilona Maher during the 2024 Olympics, Jelly found the Valkyries through an Instagram ad while her husband was deployed. Now she’s our 2024–25 Back of the Year AND Newbie of the Year, and our 2026–27 Recruiting Chair! 🔥

When she’s not running breakaways or tackling adults for fun, you can find her powerlifting (with state AND national records!), reading, crocheting Pokémon, or hanging out with her husband and their three fur babies, Lilly, Tonks, and Destiny. 🐶

A few fun facts about Jelly:

* 🏋️ Squat: 418 | Bench: 226 | Deadlift: 447
* ✨ Game-day essentials: Face glitter, ALL the layers, and nasal spray.
* 🏉 Rugby ick: Not high-fiving after a match. Come on now!
* 🦆 Spirit animal: A duck — calm on the surface, paddling like crazy underneath.
* 📚 Loves Sarah J. Maas and a good bookstore.

For Jelly, rugby is more than just a sport. It’s a community of women who have fun, push each other, and keep getting better together. And we’re lucky to have her! 💛🖤
