Wow definitely great for future cycling destinations
If you build it, will they come? A MTB trail arms race is underway. Towns across the nation are building MTB trails to attract tourism dollars, but it's no longer a guarantee that a new trail system will generate the desired revenue.

First Ride: 2026 Norco Revolver 130 - Pinkbike The new Revolver is lighter, more capable, and there's room for two water bottles.
Buying a bike online might save you some money upfront, but you'll likely end up with a box that needs assembly. You might get it together just fine, but chances are something won't be adjusted or tightened right. The tools that come with it aren't professional grade, so you'll be working with limited resources.
Once you've got it all put together and it's been a month or two, the return window's closed. Now you've got a bike with issues, like bad brakes or electrical problems with the motor or battery, and you're stuck trying to contact the manufacturer, who may not speak English or have the parts you need. Most bike shops are hesitant to touch online purchases, especially if they're unclassified or don't meet specific safety standards. However, many shops will work on class one through class three e-bikes, but if your bike doesn't fit into one of those categories, you might find yourself out of luck. So you're on your own with those unclassed bikes.
Those bikes often end up in landfills, which isn't great for the environment, given the lithium batteries and heavy metals. It's usually better to buy a quality bike from a local shop that can service it and give you years of trouble-free use. We see a lot of our bikes last for years and thousands of miles with just basic maintenance. Think twice before ordering online.
