October Service Project: Take Back the Night
This October, Seva practices for Take Back the Night, the oldest worldwide movement standing against sexual violence. Since the 1970s, Take Back the Night has brought communities together to break the silence around sexual assault and intimate partner violence, and to support survivors in healing on their own terms.
Their work today includes survivor events around the world, the Dear Katie podcast, and the National Sexual Assault Legal Hotline, which connects survivors with free guidance from victim-focused attorneys. Take Back the Night is run entirely by volunteers.
All month, a percentage of class and membership sales will go directly to Take Back the Night.
Seva means selfless service. Sometimes that service is showing up on the mat for someone else. Sometimes it is simply knowing where to point a friend who needs help.
